Frederick serves as the pilot city for a new program, Partnership for Action Learning in Sustainability. The program, part of the university’s National Center for Smart Growth, aims to help commu- nities across Maryland achieve sustain- able economic and environmental growth. Participating students will take one of 28 courses from 10 University of Maryland colleges, departments and programs.
