EXECUTIVE SUMMARY In October 2017, USAID awarded to Winrock International (Winrock) the first associate award under the USAID Asia Counter Trafficking in Persons Leader with Associates mechanism - USAID Thailand Counter Trafficking in Persons (USAID Thailand CTIP). This five-year USD $10 million program aims to reduce trafficking in persons (TIP) and to better protect the rights of trafficked persons in Thailand. This report details project activities, achievements and challenges, for the period from October 1, 2018 to September 30, 2019. During the project Year 2, USAID Thailand CTIP achieved considerable progress under the three intermediate results, began implementation in four target provinces and has updated the last target province from Songkhla to Phuket. The baseline research to collect data for key quantitative indicators was also completed. Despite the changes at the government, the project continued productive engagement with the Royal Thai Government, particularly the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security. In addition, the project concluded sub agreements and onboarded five local grantees, as well as implemented three consultancies to support achievement of project objectives. With the recruitment of the Community Mobilization Specialist as well as the Social and Behavior Change Specialist, the USAID Thailand team was fully staffed.
