What is a cloud computing “Cloud” is the aggregation of Servers, Low end computers and storage hosting the program and data Accessed via Internet anywhere from world User Centric – Easier for group members to collaborate Task Centric – User’s need is more important than features of application What makes to cloud burst Since the IBM PC was introduced Processor speed has risen 30 per cent per year Memory capacity grown by 50 per cent per year Mass storage mushroomed 80 per cent per year Desktop systems are burdened with too much state File system technology has not addressed new needs Governance of critical data falls short of rising demands Enterprise Level Benefits Achieved From Cloud Computing A Paper Presentation Topic Why Cloud- As basic Business Scenarios • Fast Application Deployment • Hassle Free Maintenance • Better Resources Utilization • Platform Independent, Security, Scalability Cloud Architecture Cloud Computing Services Cloud Computing Cycle Cloud Computing Growth Rate Uses cloud computing Helps to use applications without installations. Access the personal files at any computer with internet access. This technology allows much more efficient computation by centralizing storage, memory, processing and band width. How do the cloud computing work Public clouds are opaque What applications will work well in a cloud? Many of the advantages offered by Public Clouds appear useful for “on premise” IT Self-service provisioning Legacy support Flexible resource allocation What extensions or modifications are required to support a wider variety of services and applications? Data assimilation Multiplayer gaming Mobile devices Utilities of cloud computing • What is Utilities Computing? • Who are they? • Why Utilities Computing? What is Utilities Computing? Computing resources & platform provided as a service on-demand Hardware as a Service (HaaS) Infrastructure as a service (IaaS) Platform as a Service (PaaS) Who are they? GoogleAppEngine Amazon EC2 Microsoft Azure IBM Blue Cloud.vn Why Utilities Computing? • Mitigate the risks of over- provisioning and under- provisioning • No up-front cost, invest on other aspects (marketing, technology…) • Less maintenance & operational cost • Save time, time = money • In summary: Reduce cost Weather patterns How do cloud change SaaS Cloud its architecture Application Data Service Level Billing & Support Security Management Management Mgmt Metering System Clients Security PaaS Cloud Mgmt Mobile Browser Client Remote Billing & l Device A Security Provisioning e A v Metering e A t L m e Applications g Platform Service Level c i Support M v Management Mgmt r e Profiles Transaction Batch Productivity Real Time PaaS I S d e n t i g t Services y n i h r M t l o a t g i e Service Service m n Directory Orchestration H o Monitoring Management t M D I & n n e t o t g i r e t Integration u n i c a s r t n i t i o o o s TCP Transaction File i n n e s MOM RPC ESB i h Sockets Management Exchange v c o r r O P External IaaS Cloud S Data D g o e n f Billing & i f t l Federated Content e w Security Provisioning u RDBMS Flat Files Security n Metering a d Management Management s r e e e h c Environment Service Level S Support Management Mgmt P D e g e r n i f i Internal IaaS Cloud m e r n e e t Network Data Storage Memory Processor s t e e Security e r M Resources Resources Resources Resources Resources Legal computing In March 2007,Dellapplied to trademark the term "cloud computing“ (U.S. Trademark 77,139,082) in the United States. The "Notice of Allowance" the company received in July 2008 was cancelled in August, resulting in a formal rejection of the trademark application less than a week later. Since 2007, the number of trademark filings covering cloud computing brands, goods and services has increased at an almost exponential rate .As companies sought to better position themselves for cloud computing branding and marketing efforts, cloud computing trademark filings increased by 483% between 2008 and 2009. ´In2009, 116cloud computing trademarks were filed, and trademark analysts predict that over 500 such marks could be filed during2010.´ Security The relative security of cloud computing services is a contentious issue which may be delaying its adoption. Some argue that customer data is more secure when managed internally, while others argue that cloud providers have a strong incentive to maintain trust and as such employ a higher level of security. Open sources of cloud system AppScale Google App Engine inside EC2/Eucalyptus Multiple scalable database back ends http://appscale.cs.ucsb.edu RightScale Local enterprise focused on providing client tools as SaaS hosted in AWS “Turing Test” for Eucalyptus Can RightScale “tell” that it isn’t talking to EC2? Uses the REST interface Available for EPC http://eucalyptus.rightscale.com Next release any Eucalyptus cloud will be able to register with a free RightScale image Conclusion Cloud computing is a better way to run your business. Instead of running your apps yourself, they run on a shared data center. When you use an yapp that runs in the cloud, you just log in, customize it, and start using it. That's the power of cloud computing. Finally, cloud apps don't eat up your valuable IT resources, so your CFO will love it. This lets you focus on deploying more apps, new projects, and innovation Thankyou that’s all my ppt is complete.
