Football clubs are no different, were there is a need to satisfy supporters and strengthen their loyalty towards the club. However, researchers disagree about CSR-activities ability to affect the loyalty of supporters. The purpose of this paper is to explain the relationship between a football clubs CSR-activities and their supporters loyalty. In addition, the study aims to investigate if this relationship differentiates depending on supporter typologies. This case study at ÖSK Fotboll focuses on the ethical and philanthropic dimensions of corporate social responsibility. Data were collected mainly through semi-structured interviews, with 9 supporters representing different typologies and two representatives from ÖSK Fotboll. Key findings implies that CSR-activities labeled as ethical had a greater impact on the loyalty of supporters than those categorized as philanthropic. Results has also shown that supporter typologies plays a crucial role in determining if loyalty is influenced by CSR-activities performed by the club. The loyalty of devoted fans and professional fans seemed to be affected to a greater extent by CSR-activities than those of situational fans and 12th man. "Marriages come and go. So do jobs, hometowns, friendships. But a guy's attachment to a sports team? There's a bond that holds the heart."
