A heartfelt “Welcome Back!” to our returning student-athletes, and a very special “Howdy!” to our incoming Aggies. All of you are part of the Aggie Family, and we are extremely fortunate to be here in such a special place at a perfect time to achieve new levels of success. This is a very significant time in our history as Texas A&M competes in the Southeastern Conference, the toughest conference in all of collegiate athletics. With any great challenge, there also comes great opportunity. When we compete for SEC championships, it also positions us to compete for national championships. In addition to our competitive goal of winning SEC and NCAA titles, your most important priority should be earning a degree from this world-class institution. As your Athletics Director, it is my mission – and that of our entire Department of Athletics – to provide you with a collegiate experience that is unmatched anywhere. In that effort, you will be surrounded by outstanding coaches, superb facilities, excellent administrators, and some of the top professionals and support staff in the country. All of these elements are aligned to help you achieve success in the classroom and in competition, as well as in becoming a valuable member of your community. This Student-Athlete Handbook has been developed to assist you on your journey, so please do not hesitate to ask for help in any area. We are truly all in this together. Again, Welcome to Aggieland!
