The Central University of Jharkhand (presently operating from its temporary campus) is located at Brambe, a locality situated about 25 kms from Ranchi (the capital of Jharkhand). It is well connected by road and is well placed beside the National Highway 75 (often referred as the Ratu-Lohardaga Highway). Address of the University : Central University of Jharkhand, Ratu-Lohardaga Road, Brambe, Ranchi - 835205. UNIVERSITY TRANSPORT FACILITY AVAILABLE Once you reach the Ranchi Railway station or Ranchi Airport or Ranchi Bus Stand, things are fairly straight forward. Auto-rickshaws are readily available. Hire it asking the driver to take you to Jaipal Singh Stadium. (located near Ranchi ). There shall be 2 University buses near the stadium which can be easily be identified by the University banner placed on them. 1 Bus shall start at 8.00 AM from the Stadium to University Campus. 1 Bus shall start at 9.00 AM from the Stadium to University Campus. After the completion of Admission process one bus shall be available for taking you back to Ranchi at 5.00 PM. The to and fro travel route shall be as follows : Jaipal Singh Stadium <----> Kutchery <----> Ratu Road Chowk <----> Ratu Road <----> Piska Mode <----> Kathi Tand <----> Ratu Chatti <----> Central University of Jharkhand Campus. IN CASE IF YOU MISS THE UNIVERSITY BUS TIMINGS Do not panic. The best alternative option is to reserve/book an auto-rickshaw for Brambe. It will take almost 50-55 minutes from Ranchi Airport/Railway Station or Bus Stand to reach the University. (Reserved/Booked Auto-rickshaw charges may be in between Rs. 350 to Rs. 450) During your travel, you will move away from the rushes of the township in about 15-20 minutes and will soon be plying on National Highway-75. After travelling about 25 kms, you will reach Brambe. Once you are there (specifically Brambe Chowk), it is easy to find the Central University of Jharkhand. Do NOT get down at Brambe Chowk. Ask the driver of the hired vehicle to take you till the University. In case of any confusion, ask the nearby people, they will guide you to the University. .
