Tour Code : KTT13 Tour Duration : 2 1/2 hrs Tour Itinerary Meet at hotel lobby and transfer to Padang Merdeka. Guests will be greeted by our professional Heritage Guide upon arriving at the Padang Merdeka, the starting point of the Walk. The duration of the Walk, beginning from the Padang Merdeka takes approximately two and a half hours with interesting commentary on the pre-war, post- war and post-independence eras of Kota Kinabalu by the Guide. As the group size will not exceed twelve participants, guests can be rest assured that they are well taken care of. After a short briefing, our Heritage Guide will proceed with the tour right at the Padang Merdeka and the walk will cover other historical sites and buildings such as the Atkinson Clock Tower, Australia Place, Community Centre, Sabah Tourism Building, Jesselton Hotel, Gaya Street, Pocket Park, Malaysia Monument, North Borneo War Memorial and the City Council (Hall). There will be a short stop over at the Museum Kopitiam (coffee shop) for a simple traditional tea break. A bit of fun is added with a short treasure hunt at Gaya Street, the oldest street in Kota Kinabalu, searching for historical facts. This will provide a chance for guests to mingle with the local people and even get to know the culture too. Each guest will also be presented with a KK Heritage cap and “A Guide to KK Heritage Walk” booklet as souvenirs to enable a lasting memorable Walk experience.
