EXPLANATORY NOTES: FOR BUSINESS RULES/CHARGE LIST FOR SAHARA HOSPITAL - 2019-2020 Date: 18.03.2019 1.0 GENERAL CONDITIONS 1.1 Rate of nursing and surgery are as per the inpatient accommodation. The rates as given under the head "Surgery" are for Semi Private Room. The rates for surgeries will be 90% for General Ward and 150% for Private Room TICU and 175% for Suite Room and the existing rate will be applicable if the patient is required to be shifted to ICU. The investigation rates for outpatients will be as given under the head investigations. 1.2 CREDIT PERIOD: As per agreement of the date of getting the bills paid received from the empanelled corporate/TPA, interest of 2% shall be paid for payments delayed beyond the date as per agreement between Sahara Hospital and Empanelled, Corporate/TPAs. 1.3 DEDUCTION OF BILLS: Panel/TPA should not make any adhoc deductions without discussing with us. Letter/telephones for any queries are welcome, so that our officers can go to company/panel office and sort out the problems. 1.4 In case of any additional rates, revised/new facilities/procedures are started, the rates will be intimated to the empanelled corporate/TPAs and bills will be made as per the rates fixed by Sahara Hospital. 1.5 MODE OF PAYMENT We accept- 1- Cash (As per RBI new guidelines). 2- Debit / Credit Cards, 3- Demand Drafts 4- No cheques will accepted, expect for TPA/Empanel/Corporate Tie ups. 5- Electronic Clearing System may be used for payment. All NEFT/RTGS details should be informed to Accounts Department by Billing Department. Banking Details for NEFT/RTGS are available with Billing & Cash Department. 6- Multi City Cheques be only accepted, if at least 3 clear banking days are available prior to discharge as endorsed by the Consultant. 7- However, Multicity cheques only be accepted in case of Death, only if Consultant endorses. 1.6 Charges for Monitoring, Oxygen, Disposables, Ventilator, and Infusion Pump will be levied at applicable rates in the Wards/ICU/Emergency room/Day Care/OT. 1.7 Service charges of 20% will be levied on all bed side investigations and procedures as per services at 'HIS'. 1.8 In case any facility is not available with the Hospital, the same will be out sourced and charges will be levied as per actual and additional handling charges, on case to case basis. C. 31025 Page 1 of 7 EXPLANATORY NOTES: FOR BUSINESS RULES/CHARGE LIST FOR SAHARA HOSPITAL - 2019-2020 Date: 18.03.2019 2.0 ROOM RENT 2.1 Includes bed, RMO Services and food. 2.2 Dietician Consultation Charges of Rs 300/- once only will be levied for every admission cases. 2.3 For the purpose of billing, a day is calculated from calendar date. When a patient is shifted from one category to another, rental for higher category accommodation occupied, will be charged. 2.4 In case attendants retain the room/accommodation, while patient is admitted in ICU, charges for both will be levied. 2.5 In case a patient is transferred from lower category to higher category after the operation, surgery charges will be as per the higher category. 2.6 Charges are for full day on the day of admission irrespective of time of checking in. 2.7 Room stay for 6 hours and above is counted as one day except in emergency. 2.8 Discharge/Checkout time is 12 noon. 3.0 INVESTIGATIONS 3.1 All Investigations will be charged as per rate available at HIS. 3.2 Donor Screening and Cost of Kit and ACDA will be charged as per MRP of Plasma- aphaeresis. 3.3 All freshly raised diagnostics Services as Emergency /Urgent between 8 PM to 6 AM will be charged 25% extra. 4.0 VISITING CHARGES 4.1 The Consultant’s Post Operative Visit will be charged from next day of Surgery. 4.2 Consultant / Physician will charge maximum one visit per day irrespective of number of visits. In case Consultant visit is required between 10.00 PM to 8.00 AM, visit will be treated as an emergency visit separately and will be charged as per the rates given (as per table on page no. 4). 4.3 Any referral Consultant/Physician can charge one visit per day irrespective of number of visits except during emergencies, when Consultant fee will be charged in addition. 5.0 SURGERY/SURGICAL PROCEDURES 5.1 The rates quoted are for surgery fees only. Anesthesiologist fee, OT charges, Equipments charges, Anaesthesia gas charges will be charged as per the percentage given below. Drugs and disposables will be charged as per actual. 5.2 OT Charges will be charged at 47% of Surgery fee. 5.3 Anesthesiologist fee will be charged at 25% of Surgery fee. (For eg. Economy Ward Rs. 600/- Semi. Pvt., ICU, HDU, Emergency – Rs. 1000/- and for Suite Room – Rs. 1500/-). 5.5 Anaesthesia gas charges will be charged at 21% of Surgery fee. 5.6 Assistant Surgeon charges will be 25% of Surgery fee. 5.7 Anesthesiologist visit will be free on first post operative day only. 5.8 Oxygen Charges in OT will be charged @ Rs. 260/hour. 5.9 Equipment charges for use at OT. The charges will be charged for all surgical cases as additional, where equipment such as, Laparoscope/C Arm/Microscope/Micro Drill and others are used at 26% of Surgery Fee. 5.10 Where on the insistence of the patient, two Surgeons perform an operation, both the Surgeons can charge their fee separately but the O.T. and Anaesthesia charges will be as per the existing schedule of charges of the procedure only and not based on the total fee of the two Surgeons. 5.11 Where due to complex nature of the Surgery, two Surgeons need to operate; charges will be one and half times that of normal fee, to be divided equally between the two consultants. However, consent from patient is required. 5.12 Where a stand-by Cardiologist or any other specialist is required during the surgery, charges of physician /cardiologist will be Rs. 2000/- and Rs. 2500/- respectively and should be reflected in HIS & OT sheet as a stand-alone Service. 5.13 Second surgery done by the same Surgeon at the same sitting will be 75% of the procedure fee as per bed category. However Anaesthetist fee will be 25% of applicable surgery fee vide para 5.3 as above. 5.14 When two different surgeons operate on two different sites, procedure fee will be 100% for each surgery. Anaesthetist fee will be charged as prevalent i.e. 25% of the surgery charge, however the OT charges will be 15% of 2nd surgery in addition of OT charge, Equipments charges, Gas charges and Anaesthesia drug charge of major surgery. 5.15 Emergency surgeries between 8 PM to 6 AM will be charged 25% extra. Other incidental charges will be charged on pro-rata basis. Case should be of an emergent nature. 5.16 Cases where surgery is not performed due to any medical complication arising on the operation table after giving Anaesthesia, anaesthesia charges and OT charges will be restricted on the actual drugs /consumables used. 5.17 Charges for the remote location Anaesthesia for CT SCAN, MRI, ENDOSCOPY,CATH LAB,PEDIATRICS INTERVENTIONS, ENDOVASCULAR INTERVENTION is to be charged as per Final Charge List 2019-20. 5.18 If paediatric group of patients need anaesthesia/analgesia at remote location such as Cath Lab, CT Scan, MRI, Endoscopy, Dialysis etc then 10% additional enhancement in Anaesthetist charges will be charged. 5.19 Epidural Anaesthesia if given as a primary procedure the repeat charge for pain relief (analgesia) is not admissible. C. 31025 Page 3 of 7 EXPLANATORY NOTES: FOR BUSINESS RULES/CHARGE LIST FOR SAHARA HOSPITAL - 2019-2020 Date: 18.03.2019 6.0 AMBULANCE CHARGES: 6.1 Critical Care Ambulance charges as per existing orders with enhancement of 05%. 7.0 EQUIPMENT CHARGES Particulars Charges 7.1 Ventilator plus oxygen charges (Per day) 10,450/- 7.2 BIPAP Charges plus oxygen charges (Per day) 7,370/- Above equipments used at change of date at midnight (i.e. 1/2, 1/3), if used for 7.3 less than 6 hrs., then only one day's charge will be charged. 8.0 EMERGENCY SERVICES: 8.1 Emergency admission will be between 4 PM to 9 AM. All services rendered between 8 PM and 6 AM will considered as an Emergency services for New Emergency Admissions in IPD, unless specified for special areas such as Cardiology and Diagnostics Services and few Surgical specialties.
