Social Opportunities TWENTY-ONE national Greek letter groups operate on the campus, each having meeting rooms in the Student Center. The fraternities operate as members of the Interfraternity Council, a group composed of delegates from each fraternity which considers policy for the betterment of the fraternities. The sororities operate as members of a similar group, the Intersorority Council. Interfraternity Council Members: Alpha Epsilon Pi, Alpha Phi Alpha, Alpha Tau Omega, Chi Phi, Kappa Sigma, Omega Psi Phi, Pi Kappa Alpha, Pi Kappa Phi, Sigma Nu, Sigma Phi Epsilon, and Tau Kappa Epsilon. Intersorority Council Members: Alpha Omicron Pi, Alpha Kappa Alpha, Alpha Phi, Alpha Xi Delta, Delta Gamma, Delta Sigma Theta, Delta Zeta, Mu Rho Sigma, Phi Sigma Sigma and Zeta Tau Alpha. Religious Activities THE ECUMENICAL COUNCIL is an organization composed of college chaplains, faculty advisers and student representatives from many religious faiths and denominations. The ecumenical room in the Student Center is open for religious gatherings and discussions, as is the chapel in the same building. Special campus-wide activities occur during the year. Each winter, the Religion in Life Week presents lectures and programs on the many aspects of religious life for students. Student Organizations MANY STUDENT organizations exist on the campus to help students achieve social, professional, academic and cultural goals. A listing of all recognized groups may be found in the official student handbook, the G Book. Honor Societies THE UNIVERSITY encourages student excellence in both academic and co-curricular activities through a large number of honor societies. Among these are the following: Alpha Lambda Delta, Beta Gamma Sigma (Business Administration), Blue Key (Service Organization), Lambda Iota Tau (Literature Club), Mortar Board, Omicron Delta Epsilon (Economics), Omicron Delta Kappa, Phi Alpha Theta (History), Phi Eta Sigma, Phi Kappa Phi, and Psi Chi (Psychology). Professional Organizations A LARGE number of nationally chartered student groups to promote specific professions operate on the campus. They include the following: Actuarial Science Club, Alpha Iota Delta (Decision Sciences), Alpha Kappi Psi (Business Administration), American Marketing Association, Association for Computing Machinery/Data Processing Management, Association for Women in Communi­ cations, Beta Alpha Psi (Accounting), Chemistry Club, Delta Sigma Pi (Business Administration), Doctoral Fellows-College of Business Administration, Kappa Delta Epsilon (Education), Medical Technology Society, Pediatric Assistants Organization, Pershing Rifles, Phi Chi Theta (Business Administration), Phi Omega Lambda (Criminal Justice), Phi Sigma Epsilon (Marketing), Pre-Law 48.
