With over 35 years experience in the Security Industry and having worked in several hostile environments, corporate organisations at Project Management and Executive level, including a multitude of operational scenarios, providing me with a considerable amount of knowledge and experience to offer. The experiences from the UK military and UAE military helped lay the foundations for an extensive career within the commercial world of the Security Industry. I have worked extensively around the world with a large portion of that work taking place predominantly in the Middle East and North Africa. That work experience has been spread across a multitude of areas, some of which include: a mine clearance in the Far East, Disaster crisis management in the Caribbean, operations management in Iraq, new business development in Libya, start-up company in UK, project management for MOI critical infrastructure projects in KSA, to the daily running of a multi- million dollar organisation in Dubai. I have travelled extensively and worked in over twenty-four countries, primarily austere, remote and hostile environments. That project work extends across a variety of industrial, corporate sectors and Government agencies, ranging from Oil & Gas, Energy, Construction and Extraction, through to International media (US and UK), Security companies, Aerospace, World Bank, UN, NGO’s, MOI, FCO and state department. While I have worked across a diverse number of projects in a multitude of roles, I have recently been working in the areas of Enterprise risk management, particularly travel risk management, operations risk management, compliance work, security vulnerability assessment (SVA), crisis and resilience planning, training and education. I am currently available as a freelance consultant with a base in Dubai, where I have the ability to live and work in the UAE as a legally registered subcontractor.
