(Notice2) SOMERSET COUNTY COUNCIL DISTRICT OF TAUNTON DEANE PARISH OF ORCHARD PORTMAN & THURLBEAR Temporary Closure of Staple Fitzpaine Road TAKE NOTICE that in pursuance of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the County Council of Somerset have made an Order PROHIBITING ALL TRAFFIC from proceeding along Staple Fitzpaine Road from 50 metres north of the property 202 Badger Street, Thurlbear northwards for a distance of 10 metres. This order will enable Wessex Water to carry a out water main replacement scheme in this road. The Order becomes effective on 20 October 2014 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The works are expected to last for 5 weeks. While the closure is in operation an alternative route will be signed as detailed below. ALTERNATIVE ROUTE From the northern end of the closure proceed in a north westerly direction along Staple Fitzpaine Road to the junction with the B3170. Turn right and proceed in a north westerly direction along the B3170 to the junction with Chestnut Drive. Turn right and proceed in north easterly and north westerly directions along Chestnut Drive, Blackbrook Way and Ilminster Road to the junction with Bridgwater Road. Turn right and proceed in a northerly direction along Bridgwater Road to the junction with the A358. Turn right and proceed in a south easterly direction along the A358 to the junction with Wood Road. Turn right and proceed in a south westerly direction along Wood Road to the junction with Barrington Hill. Turn right and proceed in north westerly and north easterly directions along Barrington Hill and Bickenhall Road to the junction with New Road. Turn left and proceed in a south westerly direction along New Road to the junction with Staple Fitzpaine Road. Turn right and proceed in a north westerly direction along Staple Fitzpaine Road to the southern end of the closure, vice versa.
