Senior Night Program 2016

Florida Kraze Krush Senior Recognition Night April 25, 2016 ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! The Five W’s of Life Who you are is what makes you special. Do not change for anyone. What lies ahead will always be a mystery. Do not be afraid to explore. When life pushes you over, you push back harder. Where there are choices to make, make the one you won’t regret. Why things happen will never be certain. Take it in stride and move forward. “You have made your way out of the 18 yard box and are heading up the field.” “Remember we have to keep possession and no long balls.” “The pressure will pick up, so you have to be more aware of your spacing and providing options for yourself and teammates.” “We may have to play backwards to go forward.” “Use your options and move away from your opponents.” Does this sound familiar? Life is like the game of soccer. It is very similar to our FKK philosophy of how we play the game. We are a possession- oriented club, therefore support, patience, awareness and confidence are essential. Don’t forget, you will have turnovers, calls won’t go your way and you may get fouled in the rhythm of play. You have to get right back up and work hard to win the ball back. Soccer is a game of transition and so is life. Playing out of the back is just the start of the attack. You may turn it over and get scored on, but you have the entire game to respond. You may get subbed out to gather yourself, but when your number is called you have to go back into the game and grind out the result. You have reached an important milestone in your lives and, now, it is time to move on to the next level. This is a major step in your journey, a step that should be recognized for its immense significance. It is an act, not only of personal commitment, but also one of pride. You worked hard to get to this point in your lives, and all that hard work did not go to waste. Your current accomplishments will open many more doors of opportunity. This point is not the end goal. It is instead a part of the larger journey of life. Wherever your future takes you, let it take you somewhere. All of the accomplishments we achieve during this journey are starting points for further achievements. This transition should serve as a launching point, projecting you on to your future endeavors, whether you are heading on to play in college, becoming a student at a college or taking up a trade. As I said before, life is like soccer— we don’t stop growing as a player. We continue to excel in the game. Life is about growing. Being a part of the FKK family, gave each of you new opportunities to continue growing and new skills that you can carry with you for the rest of your lives. The road that lies ahead won’t be easy. There will be obstacles, missed exits, potholes and roadblocks. There will be times when each of you will think you are alone or you may feel like your back is against the wall. But you are not alone—you are all in this journey together. You have made it this far—why should you look to back out now? Nothing worthwhile is easy, and that includes making the most out of your futures. You need to keep pushing, because you can achieve your dreams, and most of all, you are worth it. Just keep playing with an attitude of success and intelligence and you will get the positive result. Remember to play to the final whistle. Don’t forget to shake hands and clean up the bench. Good luck to you all. GO FKK!!!
