College Vijayraghavgarh is situated at Tehsil Vijayraghavgarh in District Katni. At present time the college is being run it three rooms of Govt. Excellence Higher Secondary School Vijayraghavgarh. The new building has been constructed at the state highway of Katni-Kymore at Vijayraghavgarh. The new building is 30 km away from the District Headquarter Katni. Vijayraghavgarh is known for its revolt against the British rule in 1857. The place has been famous for is historical past. A Village near Vijayraghavgarh, name Karitlai is, famous its ancient Vishnu-Barah statue. The statue in famous for its arts and sculpture. It is said that the statues in khajuraho were made at this place and placed in the temples of khajuraho. th The College was established on 14 May 2010. It is affiliated to Rani Durgavati Vishwavidyalaya, Jabalpur. The college runs only Arts faculty up to undergraduate Classes in the current session 2017-18 the total number of students is 155. It is hoped that the college will be developed of her shifting to its Own new Building Strength:-The strength of the college may be described in the terms of:- Physical Resources: Govt. Vijayraghavgarh College is being run through in three room of Govt. Ex. Higher Secondary School Vijayraghavagrh, Katni. Class rooms, Vivekananda Career Guidance Cell, a hall, sports department, proper water facilities with water coolers and inverter for un-interrupted power supply. Separate toilet facilities for staff & students. Human Resources: Human Resources of the institution includes its Principal, the head of the institution, teaching staff, 02 numbers of permanent faculty members, 0 Janbhagidari teaching staff and 03 numbers of guest teachers, office staff, 01 Numbers of permanent non- teaching staff and 02 numbers of temporary office staff. Present student strength is 155. Janbhagidari samiti members and also provide valuable support and suggestions which help in development of college. Learning Resources: Learning Resources of the college comprise:- The college runs a number of programmes Sports, Vivekananda Career Guidance Cell, Plantation of trees, health awareness etc to teach the students their social duties. Experienced & learned professors also visit to give knowledge apart from syllabus. 2. Overview (1 page) (i) Vision, Mission and Objectives of the college Vision To impart quality education to student especially from rural background and inculcate and moral values and prepare them for employability. Mission To develop the institution as the center of excellence in under-graduation course. To create an atmosphere in order to bring an overall development of the college through academic and extracurricular activities. To develop skills among students for their employments. To empower the girls and boys from rural and weaker students in order to enhance the capabilities.
