AUDIO ENGINEER, Spooked SNAP JUDGMENT STUDIOS Snap Judgment, an award-winning radio show and podcast (heard on over 400 NPR stations nationwide and downloaded over two million times every month) is seeking an AUDIO ENGINEER for its spin-off podcast, Spooked, a production of Snap Judgment Studios and Luminary Media that features true-life supernatural stories, told firsthand by people who can barely believe it happened themselves. The Audio Engineer will be contracted to work with the show for the duration of Spooked Season 6 production (now through October 31, 2021) reporting directly to the Manager of Sound and Executive Producers of the show. This temporary part time position pays $50/hour for a minimum of 24 hours per week, workinG remotely. Working remotely, the Audio Engineer will be responsible for mixing and mastering episodes of Spooked and other Snap Studios projects. Duties include assembling shows from content maps, fixing dialogue edits, audio restoration and using mixing and mastering techniques to ensure the show meets industry standards. Engineers may also run studio sessions for Voice Over recording. Skills ● Dialogue Editing ● Noise Reduction and Audio Restoration ● EQ, compression, and Sound Design techniques. ● Mixing and Mastering for Podcast and Broadcast distribution ● File management ● Communication skills ● Time management and ability to meet deadlines Experience ● Pro Tools ● Logic Pro ● Izotope RX ● Adobe Audition and other DAWs are a plus.
