4 Busts Unveiled by Country’s Vice-President ۱۵:۴۳ - ۱۳۹۹/۰۷/۱۲ Dr. Mohammad Bagher Nobakht, Vice-President and President of Planning & Budget Organization paid visit to Iranian NOC and participated in unveiling the busts of Olympians. Iran NOC; Tehran: Observing the health protocols; the Ceremony brought the former Olympic Wrestling Medalists together with their families in order to unveil their busts among whom was Siamand Rahman the Late Para-Weightlifter. NOC President, Dr. Seyed Reza Salehi Amiri hosted the ceremony and the special guests; Dr. Mohammad Bagher Nobakht, Vice-President and President of Planning & Budget Organization and Dr. Masoud Soltanifar, Minister of Sports & Youth. The ceremony started with a video clip displaying the narration of the Olympians and followed the speeches made by the Sports Minister. “I need to appreciate the efforts and supports of Dr. Nobakht which has led to great successes for the country’s sports. We have utilized sports as an effective tool to keep the society connected and united. Due to Covid-19 pandemic, everyone is in a sensitive situation; though, we have secured some Olympic berths” held Dr. Soltanifar addressing and appreciating the guests, NFs’ Presidents and sports stakeholders. Highlighting the earnest endeavor in establishing the Sport, Olympic and Paralympic Museum by the NOC President, Dr. Soltanifar stated: “his [Dr. Salehi Amiri’s] efforts brought these cups and memorabilia from homes, clubs and anywhere to this Museum which will be all recorded in the history. This ceremony is unprecedented because the Olympians are the country’s honor and pride who gave the people joy and jubilance”. Dr. Nobakht in continuation added: “the reason behind this ceremony is the determination signaled by the champions to win against their opponents. Their medals are not only symbols of determination but are indicative of dignity and culture of the country which will be commended in the history”. Emphasizing on a targeted support to the NOC and Sports Ministry; the Vice-President stated: “the Government well recognizes where to invest, the Sports, which can be durable and fruitful”. Paying visit to Iran NOA; Dr. Nobakht then had a friendly meeting with NFs’ President, Sports Ministry and NOC officials and they discussed different issues.
