News Release August 3, 2011 SKY Perfect JSAT Corporation Further increase in the number of HD channels of SKY PerfecTV! HD - over 120 channels in October 2012 - SKY Perfect JSAT Corporation (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director, President & Chief Executive Officer: Shinji Takada; hereinafter referred to as “SKY Perfect JSAT”) will start 34 new HD channels in October 2012, in the HD multichannel service “SKY PerfecTV! HD.” Through this increase of channels, SKY PerfecTV! HD, which started with 15 channels in October 2008, will become the Japan’s largest HD broadcasting service offering over 120 channels. In addition, SKY PerfecTV! HD will improve the picture quality of the conventional standard broadcasts, and over 50 channels will be aired with the MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 method. Then, we will develop a system for airing all of over 170 channels, including the 120 HD channels, with high picture quality.
