WACO DISTRICT DISTRICT PROFILE The Waco District plans, designs, builds, operates and maintains the state transportation system in its eight counties. The district primarily conducts asset preservation and mobility projects to ensure the safety of the traveling public. The Waco district experiences a wide variety of challenges for maintenance crews and designers in maintaining district assets and ensuring the safety of the traveling public year-round.
