16th DECEMBER 2020 AIRNORTH RESUMES SERVICES BETWEEN TOOWOOMBA AND MELBOURNE Airnorth is pleased to announce the resumption of services between Toowoomba Wellcamp Airport and Melbourne just in time for the new year. The first service is scheduled to depart Saturday, 26 December 2020 with twice weekly return services every Saturday and Sunday. “We have been waiting for the opportunity to welcome back our Toowoomba – Melbourne operations since we were forced to suspend services earlier this year,” said Airnorth CEO Daniel Bowden. “The recent easing of border restrictions between Queensland and Victoria has allowed us to welcome the service back into our network’s rotation for 2021.” This is Airnorth’s third non-stop service departing Wellcamp Airport since March 2020 with connectivity to Cairns, Townsville and then onto Darwin which resumed in mid this year. Operations between Toowoomba and Melbourne have always served as a vital support to the business community of this region and connecting loved ones between the two destinations. “We are excited to be working alongside Airnorth to recommence the Toowoomba to Melbourne flights at the end of this month. It’s been a long time coming, but with borders now open we are eager to support all domestic travel.
