The Pope has appointed Bishop Yohanes Harun Yuwono of Tanjungkarang as archbishop of the same metropolitan see. Curriculum vitae Archbishop-elect Yohanes Harun Yuwono was born on 4 July 1964 in Way Ray - Padang Dermin, in the diocese of Tanjungkarang. He completed his philosophical and theological studies at Saint Petrus Interdiocesan Major Seminary in Pematangsiantar, Sumatra. 2 He was ordained a priest on 8 December 1992 for the clergy of the diocese of Pangkalpinang. After ordination he first served as parish vicar in Sungaliat and with responsibility for the parish of Mentok (1993- 1994). He then obtained a licentiate in Islamology from the Pontifical Institute of Arabic and Islamic Studies - PISAI in Rome (1994-1998), and went on to serve as formator at the Saint Petrus Interdiocesan Major Seminary, lecturer in Islam at the STFT Saint Yohanes Institute of Philosophy and Theology and rector of the preparatory course in Pematangsiantar (1998-2008). He spent a sabbatical year in the Philippines and took a short course at the East Asian Pastoral Institute in Manila (2008-2009), then served as president of the diocesan Secretariat for Pastoral Care in Pangkalpinang (2009-2010); and since 2011, rector of the Saint Petrus Interdiocesan Major Seminary in Pematangsiantar and professor of Islam at STFT Saint Yohanes. He was elected bishop of Tanjungkarang on 19 July 2013 and consecrated on the following 10 October. Appointment of bishop of Padang, Indonesia The Holy Father has appointed as bishop of the diocese of Padang, Indonesia, the Reverend Fr. Vitus Rubianto Solichin, S.X., member of the Pious Society of Saint Francis Xavier for the Foreign Missions (Xaverians), until now lecturer in the major seminary and rector of the School of Philosophy, Jakarta. Curriculum vitae Msgr. Vitus Rubianto Solichin, S.X., was born on 15 November 1968 in Semarang, Java Island. He entered Saint Petrus Canisius Minor Seminary in Mertoyudan, Semarang, and later the Pious Society of Saint Francis Xavier for the Foreign Missions (Xaverians). He continued his philosophical studies at Driyarkara High School of Philosophy, Jakarta, and theological studies at Wedabhakti Pontifical Theological Faculty, Yogyakarta. He gave his religious vows in the Xaverian Congregation on 18 March 1996 and was ordained a priest on 7 July 1997. After priestly ordination he obtained a licentiate in sacred Scripture at the Pontifical Biblical Institute in Rome (1997-2001), after which he served as professor of sacred Scripture at Driyarkara High School of Philosophy and Major Seminary in Bandung (2001-2007). He was then awarded a degree in Biblical theology at the Pontifical Gregorian University, Rome (2007-2012). Since 2013 he has served as professor and vice-chairman for Academic Affairs at Driyarkara in Jakarta, and member of the Xaverian Formation Team and the Xaverian Provincial Council of Indonesia; from 2015 to date he has been rector of the Jakarta School of Philosophy, and since 2018, president of the Indonesian Biblical Scholars Association. Appointment of bishop of Pala, Chad The Holy Father has appointed as bishop of the diocese of Pala, Chad, the Reverend Dominique Tinoudji, of the clergy of Moundou, until now rector of the Saint Luc Interdiocesan Theological Major Seminary in Bakara, in the archdiocese of N’Djaména. Curriculum vitae Msgr. Dominique Tinoudji was born on 8 August 1973 in Manli, diocese of Moundou. He entered the Saint-Jean Minor Seminary of Pala, completing his studies in philosophy and theology in the two major seminaries in the country (Sarh and N’Djaména). He was ordained a priest on 8 January 2005, for the clergy of the diocese of Moundou. After priestly ordination, he first served as parish vicar (2005), after which he undertook studies in Florence for a 3 licentiate (2005-2008) and subsequently a degree in Biblical theology (2011-2015). He then served as formator at the Interdiocesan Major Seminary of Bakara (2008-2011), and formator in the Interdiocesan Major Seminary of Sarh (2015-2016). From 2016 to the present he has been rector of the Saint Luc Interdiocesan Theological Major Seminary in Bakara, in the archdiocese of N’Djaména. Appointment of bishop of Ales-Terralba, Italy, and union in persona Episcopi of the sees of Oristano and Ales- Terralba The Holy Father has appointed Archbishop Roberto Carboni, O.F.M. Conv., metropolitan of Oristano and apostolic administrator of Ales-Terralba, as bishop of the diocese of Ales-Terralba, Italy, uniting the two sees in persona Episcopi. Curriculum vitae Archbishop Roberto Carboni, O.M.I. Conv., was born on 12 October 1958 in Scano Montiferro, province of Oristano and diocese of Alghero-Bosa. He entered the Seraphic Seminary of the Friars Minor Conventual of Sassari, and subsequently transferred to the Collegio San Francesco of Oristano, where he completed his classical high school studies. In 1977 he began his noviciate in the Convent of the Basilica of the Saint in Padua, where he also studied philosophy at the Sant’Antonio Dottore Seminary, while he carried out his studies in theology at the Pontifical Theological Faculty of Saint Bonaventure-Seraphicum in Rome. He gave his perpetual profession on 27 June 1982. He was ordained a priest on 29 September 1984. After priestly ordination he continued his studies in Rome, obtaining a licentiate in psychology from the Pontifical Gregorian University in 1986. Since 1989 he has been registered as a psychologist and psychotherapist in Sardinia. Following his collaboration with the magazine Fraternità, of which he was editor-in-chief, he became a freelance journalist, and has been registered as a journalist in Sardinia since 1997. He has held the following offices: from 1985 to 1992 he was spiritual director at the Centre for Youth and Vocation Ministry at the Sacro Convento in Assisi; from 1991 to 1993 he was professor of psychology at the Theological Institute of Assisi; from 1993 to 1994 deputy parish priest of San Francesco di Assisi in Cagliari; from 1994 to 1999 rector of the Franciscan Postulancy at the Collegio San Francesco in Oristano; from 1994 to 2001 secretary and provincial vicar. From 2001 to 2013, as missionary in Cuba with the friars of the Marches Province, he was spiritual director of the Interdiocesan Seminary, professor of psychology and rector of postulants, as well as rector of the Saint Francis Church in La Habana. After returning to Italy, from 2013 to 2016 he served as secretary general for formation of the Order of Friars Minor Conventual. He was elected as bishop of Ales-Terralba on 10 February 2016, received episcopal consecration and took possession of the see on the following 17 April. On 4 May 2019 he was promoted to the metropolitan archiepiscopal see of Oristano, remaining as apostolic administrator of Ales-Terralba. Within the Episcopal Conference of Sardinia he is delegate for the Protection of Minors and for Evangelisation of 4 Peoples and Cooperation among Churches. Appointment of auxiliary bishop of Pozzuoli, Italy The Holy Father has appointed as auxiliary bishop of Pozzuoli, Italy, the Reverend Carlo Villano, of the clergy of the diocese of Aversa, until now parish priest and director of the Ss Apostoli Pietro e Paolo Interdiocesan I.S.S.R. of the Caserta Area, assigning him the titular See of Sorres. Curriculum vitae Msgr. Carlo Villano was born on 25 August 1969, in Aversa, diocese of the same name, in the province of Caserta. He was ordained a priest on 29 June 1995. He holds a doctorate in moral theology and a degree in philosophy. From 1996 to 1999 he was deputy parish priest of San Michele Arcangelo in Aversa and from 1999 to 2013 parish priest of San Luca Evangelista in Varcaturo, Giugliano. Since 2013 he has been parish priest of Santi Filippo e Giacomo in Aversa and also chaplain of UNITALSI. To date he has served as episcopal vicar for Charity and the Men’s Society, director and lecturer in the Ss Apostoli Pietro e Paolo Interdiocesan Higher Institute of Religious Sciences Ss for the Caserta Area in Capua, director of the diocesan Office for Social Communications, and national ecclesiastical assistant to the AGESCI Rover/Scholastic Branch. Appointment of auxiliary bishop of México, Mexico The Holy Father has appointed as auxiliary bishop of the metropolitan archdiocese of Mexico, the Reverend Andrés Luis García Jasso, of the clergy of the same archdiocese, until now judicial vicar, assigning him the titular see of Tipasa in Numidia. Curriculum vitae Msgr. Andrés Luis García Jasso was born on 16 September 1973 in Nuevo Laredo, in the then diocese of Matamoros. After graduating in accounting from the Universidad Autónoma de Tamaulipas, he joined the Neocatechumenal Way and received his basic formation for the priesthood at the Redemptoris Mater Seminary in Mexico City. He was ordained a priest on 5 May 2007, and incardinated in the metropolitan archdiocese of Mexico. After ordination he obtained a licentiate in canon law from the Universidad de Salamanca in Spain (2007-2010). He then held the following offices: rector of the Sagrada Familia parish in Iztapalapa and parish vicar of San Francisco de Asís (2010-2013); notary of the Ecclesiastical Tribunal of the metropolitan archdiocese of México (2010-2012), adjunct judicial vicar (2012-2013) and from 2013 to date, judicial vicar and president of the same Tribunal.
