THE PROGRAMMES ORGANIZED FOR THE PERIOD OF 1ST APRIL 2011 TO 31ST MARCH 2012 01. MSW students raised wide propaganda in the village surrounding Mukka and organized a Medical one weak medical camp with Srinivas Medical College and Super Specialty hospital and patients were treated in the Camp free of cost. 02. Organized Independence day programme by MSW Students with less privileged children, at SC/ST Ashram School, Padua, Kadri, Mangalore. 03. Community Outreach program and Awareness generation programme for six days was organized and introduced the Srinivas Hospital and Health card to the people of Surathkal, Kulur, Haleyangad, Mulki, Chelar, Sasihithlu, Hejamady, Kinnigoli and Katipalla. And also launched Health card at Srinivas Hospital, Mukka for the BPL families. 04. Organized Health camp under SIRRA, for SC/ST Ashram School, Padua, Kadri, Mangalore. 90 children benefited from this camp. 05. Medical camp organized at Shri Mukyaprana School, Kenjaru. 140 patients benefited out of this camp. And follow-up of the camp was conducted for further treatment. 140 patients benefited out of this camp. 06. Organized Vanamahotsava programme under SIRRA with NSS unit of SIMS, at Valachil Campus. This programme was organized with the collaboration with Forest Department. 110 Volunteers from BBM and MSW Department were participated in this programme and planted about 60 saplings. 07. Free Medical camp organized at Dk. Hr. Pry. School Bolur, Haleyangadi. About 150 patients benefited by the camp. And about 100 Health cards were distributed. 08. Community Health awareness campaign was conducted under SIRRA, with the help of MSW students and Health insurance was provided to the families. Especially in the area of Lingappaiyana Kadu, Mulki, K.S. Rao Nagar, Karnad, Mulki. 460 BPL families were identified. Follow-up of the programme was done by the Hospital staff and the insurance company. 09. Health camp organized along with Srinivas Hospital Mukka at Bantara Bhavan, Surathkal. 110 patients were benefited from this camp. 1 10. Health camp organized with the help of Srinivas Hospital Mukka at Pakshikere Church Compound. 139 patients benefited from this camp. 11. MSW students donated blood for the needy patients of the Hospital. 12. Organized Chidren’s Day programme at Ishwarananda Mahila Sevashrama (Balikashrama), Kankanady, Mangalore. Children’s day message was delivered, MSW students have taken active part and initiative in organizing games and cultural programme. 130 Children of Ashram were present. Winners were given prizes and sweets were distributed to all the children of Ashram under SIRRA.. 13. Health camp organized with the help of Srinivas Hospital Mukka at Government Hr. Primary School, ( Board School), Padubidri. 170 patients benefited out of this camp. Free treatment and Medicines were distributed during the camp. 14. Health camp organized along with Srinivas Hospital Doctors and their committee, Mukka at Mulki Sundararama Shetty Memorial Hall, Mulki. 40 patients benefited out of this free camp. 15. Provided old Kannada magazines to under trail prisoners of District Jail, Dakshina Kannada for fruitfully utilize their leisure time in the jail in the month of December 2011. 16. Free Medical Treatment programme which included free check-up, nursing services, medicines and treatment was organized at Srinivas Hospital. 175 patients benefited. 17. Republic day programme was organized for less privileged children, at Model residential School for SC/ST Madya, Surathkal. This programme included speech, documentary, games and cultural programme. At the end prizes for the winners and sweets to all the children were distributed. 115 children were present for this programme. 18. Health camp was organized at Chitrapu area under SIRRA with the help of Srinivas Hospital, Mukka. 75 patients were benefited. This programme was organized with the local support and clubs of the area. 19. Health Check-up Camp for Model residential School for SC/ST Madya, Surathkal at Srinivas Hospital Mukka. 80 Children benefited from this camp. Facilities like Free transport, food, Check-up and Medicines were given to the children under SIRRA. 2 20. Health Check-up Camp for less privileged children of SC/ST Ashram School, Padua, Kadri, Mangalore at Srinivas Hospital Mukka. 40 Children benefited from this camp. Facilities like Free transport, food, Check-up and Medicines were given to the children. 21. Free Medical Health Check-up camp at District Hr. Pry. School, Shanthinagar, Kinnigoli. Local SHG group and Yuvaka Mandal supported in organizing programme and giving publicity. Students also visited the area regularly in generating awareness about this camp. 75 patients benefited from this camp. This camp was conducted under SIRRA. 22. MSW students organized Children’s Right Awareness Programme at Navachethana English Medium School, Neerumarga. This programme was organized collaboration with SIRRA, VELORED, Rotary Club and Grama Panchayat Neerumarga. 150 Children of the School benefited from this programme. 23. Free Medical Health Check-up camp at Government Hr. Pry School, Montepadav, along with Grama Pancyayat Narangana, Jana Shikshana Trust, Srinivas Hospital and SIRRA. 50 patients benefited from this camp.
