Playing in the Eastern Conference of the Ontario Hockey League, the Steelheads are a junior hockey team that plays out of the Paramount Fine Foods Centre, formerly known as the Hershey Centre. Job Description: We are currently seeking an individual who is passionate about sport and is looking to become the new in-arena voice for the Steelheads. The ideal applicant will possess a strong communications/media background, an outgoing personality, the ability to think on their feet, and enjoy being in front of the camera. The successful candidate will also be responsible for the occasional interview, video content pieces, interacting with fans, growing the brand, and be at every Steelheads home game. Job Duties: • In-arena host/hostess • Be part of creating engaging content for website, social media, and game day • Memorize Game Day Scripts • Interact with fans and contestants to engage the audience • Assist with interviews and other video content where needed • Maintain professionalism Position Requirements: • Candidate must be 18 years of age or older to apply • Minimum of 1-2 years host/emcee experience required • Working knowledge of hockey rules and regulations • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Must have the ability to project your voice • Ability to perform in front of a large audiences • Can adjust and adapt quickly to situations • Ability to work with others in a fast-paced environment under pressure • Must be professional at all times • Ability to take direction and feedback • Flexible hours and available to work all home games including preseason and post season if applicable • Ability to host team events if applicable • Ability to stand on feet for 3-4 hours per game • All other duties as assigned .
