An endangered species declining due to loss of specific habitat requirements 57 Wattled Guan Aburria aburri A surprise find at roadside stop when returning from Guajira. Possibly displaced by floods 58 Sickle-winged Guan Chamaepetes goudotii 2 seen on Galapagos Road and 1 seen at Rio Blanco Reserve 59 Crested Bobwhite Colinus cristatus 4 seen in stubbly fields at stop en-route to Ibague 60 Black-fronted Wood-Quail Odontophorus With three very small disjunct populations two atrifrons in Colombia and one in Venezuela, we enjoyed superb views of 4 birds of the nominate race in the gardens of Eldorado Lodge, Santa Marta 61 Bogota Rail E Rallus semiplumbeus Endemic: Most visitors try and see this species in the park in Bogota! A far more reliable site such as the one we visited allowed us good views of up to 5 birds, most out in the open 62 Gray-necked Wood Rail Aramides cajanea A noisy pair heard only at Rio Claro 63 Spot-flanked Gallinule Gallinula melanops Up to 4 seen well at Bogota Rail site on first day 64 Common Moorhen Gallinula chloropus Up to 3 seen at Bogota Rail site 65 American Coot Fulica americana Seen at Parque Florida, Bogota.
