Legal Advisory Services – Our full-time on staff, experienced and top-rated attorney is available to give advice on estate and probate matters and provide any surviving spouse a MD Statutory Power of Attorney and MD Advance Directive for Health Care, at no cost if the services provided include visitation. Ample parking and close proximity to several hotels and restaurants makes this location convenient for both local and out of town guests. Abingdon was recently updated to welcome visitors with a warm and relaxing atmosphere. Unique to this location, the Solarium area is naturally lit and provides additional space for guests to gather. Opened in October of 2019, this location is perfectly situated to conveniently serve northern Harford and Baltimore counties. The McComas Celebration of Life Center expands on our funeral service offerings. Designed using a flexible space concept, this location is bright, modern and spacious allowing families to fully customize their life celebration. The celebration room can accommodate over 200 guests and is equipped with the latest audio/visual capabilities. (Anytime with an appointment) • How can you assure me that you cremate responsibly? (We cremate one person at a time in our own crematory, staffed by dedicated people who have been certified by the state and adhere to ongoing training.) • How much time does it take to complete a cremation process? (Because we operate our own crematory, we serve you more quickly – usually within 3 business days of your authorization and the State’s issuance of a death certificate.) In an effort to both prepare and inform the families we serve, McComas Family Funeral Homes encourages prearranging. Along with the peace of mind that pre-planning provides, your pre-paid plan may also be guaranteed as set forth below. When families prepay, monies are paid to an irrevocable insurance policy which will allow the account to be guaranteed in part, so that no other monies would be required for goods and services from the funeral home at the time of death although additional monies may be required by third parties such as cemeteries and newspapers. We guarantee our goods and services by way of an insurance policy face amount based on the total amount of the contracted services and merchandise through our company (the “Total Funeral Price”) and the age of the person at the time of prearrangement, as follows: If the Beneficiary is 80 years of age or older, the insurance policy face amount is 110% of the Total Funeral Price; and If the Beneficiary is less than 80 years of age, the insurance policy face amount is 115% of the Total Funeral Price.
