University of Gujrat Pro-Vice-Chancellor Office Dated: July 03, 2020 UNIVERSITY OF GUJRAT UNDERGRADUATE ADMISSION POLICY (FALL-2020) GENERAL CRITERIA: 1.1 University of Gujrat (UOG) Online admissions for all Undergraduate degree programs shall be processed against the advertisement in print and electronic media under Semester System on OPEN MERIT and Reserved Quotas as mentioned below in Annexure-01. 1.2 Unless mentioned in Annexure-I, the reserved seats are only for the degree programs offered at the Hafiz Hayat Campus along with the degree programs offered in Morning session at UOG City Campus Marghzar Colony, offered in Morning session at UOG City Campus GT Road Gujrat and diploma holders and DJPSC Quota for degree programs offered in Morning session at Mandi Bhauddin Campus. 1.3 Only Online complete application(s) along with uploaded following compulsory required documents shall be processed: a) Unless mentioned; otherwise, Bank electronic transaction receipt / Draft for admission application processing charges. b) Candidate’s passport size photograph (with blue background and up to 300 x 350 pixels; JPG file). c) Terminal / last certificate’s / degree’s DMC / Transcript; ONLY FIRST YEAR (in case of intermediate, Associate degree or equivalent or FIRST TWO YEARS (in case of DAE) or THIRD YEAR (in case of 14 years of education) for respective Undergraduate degree program(s). d) In case of the combined results the candidate shall calculate and upload desired year results only; however, shall attach combined DMC/Transcript at his own responsibilities. In case of any discrepancy, fake documentation or concealment of facts the admission shall be cancelled at any stage of the degree. e) The applicants against any reserved seat shall upload all relevant documents mentioned in the below Annexure-I; otherwise, the application shall not be processed. 1.4 Considering the required eligibility, a candidate may apply for more than one degree programs. 1.5 The submitted application(s) shall be acknowledged by the text message on the applicant’s given cell number. 1.6 The candidates may also check the submitted application(s) acceptance status after three working days of the submission on the provided admission UOG account. 1.7 Department wise / Degree wise / Date wise electronic applicants’ lists of all applicants shall be uploaded on UOG admission portal (https:/uog.edu.pk) after the closing date of the admissions. The UOG Undergraduate Admission Policy Fall-2020 (Semester System) (Page 1 of 36) referred lists shall be generated date wise as per received applications Thus, shall not be considered as Merit List. 1.8 The missing candidates (if any) may contact department concerned through email at least two days before the notification / display of the first Merit List; otherwise, no claim shall be accepted after the notification / display of the first Merit List. 1.9 Subject to the provision of seats and eligibility and with the approval of respective Deans /HODs. The change of subject within stipulated time shall only be allowed to the applicants who have already applied for the desired degree program(s). 1.10 Semester dues shall be refunded (if requested) within stipulated time as per UOG policy / rules which are available at UOG admission portal (https:/uog.edu.pk). 1.11 Considering government SOPs for COVID-19, the University shall not establish Admission Facilitation Centers this year. However, the GOP SOPs for COVID-19 shall strictly be followed. No applicant without mask, gloves and sanitization shall be allowed to enter in UOG. Only one parent / guardian shall be allowed. The parent / guardian shall stay outside department office. 1.15 Unless mentioned, the admission dues/fee shall be deposited during the stipulated period in the designated branches of the banks at Hafiz Hayat Campus, University of Gujrat and a copy of same shall have to be deposited in the department concerned for semester registration. The referred dues/fee shall not be deposited in any other bank. 1.16 In case the semester fee/dues are not deposited within stipulated time the admission shall stand cancelled. 1.17 Subject to the availability, hostel facility shall be provided for the candidates having domicile other than District Gujrat. 1.18 A candidate shall have to pay nonrefundable Rs 850/- as admission processing fee within the stipulated time as mentioned in the admission advertisement / calendar for a degree program. However, Rs 300/- each shall be paid for each extra application. 1.19 Equivalence Certificate of “A” Levels or Intermediate Certificate awarded by the foreign institutions issued by the Inter Board Committee of Chairman (IBCC) is mandatory to upload along with application OR the UOG Provisional Equivalence Certificate. 1.20 The UOG Provisional Equivalence Certificate is a temporary facilitation by the UOG in the current COVID-19 situation. However, the applicant shall have to provide the Equivalence Certificate issued by the IBCC to confirm the admission. Otherwise, the admission shall stand cancelled. UOG Undergraduate Admission Policy Fall-2020 (Semester System) (Page 4 of 36) 1.21 The applicant may request for the issuance of the Provisional Equivalence Certificate through email [email protected] on the prescribed template available on UOG admission portal (https:/uog.edu.pk). Accordingly, the quarter concerned shall provide the same to the applicant through his / her email with a copy to the Admission Committee within two working days of the receipt. 1.22 In case the candidate(s) has degree other than that of UOG, the UOG approved policy for the conversion of marks into CGPA shall be applied. 1.23 The applicant’s upper age limit shall be 25 years at the admission closing date. No further age relaxation is permissible. 1.24 Applicants of reserved seats shall upload all relevant documents with the online application form described in Annexure-I. 1.25 UOG employees shall apply for the Employment Certificate on the template uploaded on admission portal (https:/uog.edu.pk) to the Registrar University of Gujrat on email [email protected]. Accordingly, the quarter concerned shall provide the same to the applicant through his email with a copy to the Admission Committee within two working days of the receipt. 1.26 Considering minimum required number of students per Section and the departmental resources the University reserves the right for not offering any degree program(s). 1.27 Considering above Para if a degree program is not offered. The deposited semester dues shall be refunded as per UOG policy/rules. 1.28 Other than degrees accredited with the HEC recognized Councils the section shall be within the range of (25 to 60) students. 1.29 The BSc Engineering, LLB (Hons), BS-Computer Science, BS-Information Technology and BS- Software Engineering degree programs are accredited with the HEC recognized Councils. Thus, the approved number of seats and Sections by the respective councils shall be followed.
