ATPI Advisory 29 June 2020 ATPI Alerts Travel Opportunities per Country during Coronavirus (COVID-19) Dear Valued Client, The world is still changing by the hour during this COVID pandemic outbreak. Many travel bans are being eased or lifted and some countries still extend their current travel bans. Airlines slowly start up their network again, although with lower capacity. Our daily update informs you in short about the latest information. Please note that unexpected travel cancellations are taking place and airlines status may change at any given time without prior notice. The enlisted information is based on the officially announced governmental travel restrictions and quarantine measures, updated via our ATPI Alerts. Below is a summary of the latest updates, please be aware it is not a complete overview of all current travel bans and restrictions. Areas & airports opening or softening restrictions EUROPEAN COUNTRIES: • Europe: Danish government reopens borders to all but six European countries. • France: Paris Orly Airport reopens after COVID-19 concerns ease; several airlines resume operations; protesters halt services for around 30 minutes • AFRICA: • Tunisia: U.S. Embassy reports government has announced guidance for the 27 June reopening of air, land, sea borders • Europe, Tunisia: Some operations resume at Tunis-Carthage airport as borders reopen • Kenya: President expects to resume domestic flights in the next few days • Liberia: Monrovia Roberts International Airport reopens as country remains in state of emergency until 22 July MIDDLE EAST: • Africa, Asia, Europe, Middle East: Emirates to resume flights from Dubai to more seven destinations in July • Qatar: Government plans to further ease some COVID-19 restrictions from 1 July AMERICAS: • Belize: Philip Goldson Airport in Ladyville to reopen 15 August • Peru: Government to lift some COVID-19 lockdown measures in July in most areas of country; borders still closed • Costa Rica: Government will reopen borders to foreign tourists on 1 August • Dominican Republic: All airports will resume operations from 1 July ASIAN / AUSTRALIAN COUNTRIES: • Philippines: Governor allows domestic flights in Aklan from 1 July • Seychelles: Passenger flights to resume on 1 August • AIRLINES: • Europe, U.S.: Air Serbia to operate flights to 40 destinations by mid-July • Europe: Lufthansa resumes, increases some flights to destinations in Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia • Bulgaria, Turkey: Turkish Airlines to resume flights to, from Sofia on 1 July • Thailand: Thai AirAsia to resume all domestic flights in July • China, U.S.: United Airlines to resume flights between San Francisco and Shanghai from 8 July • U.S.: Update: Spirit Airlines offers more summer flights • Ethiopia: Ethiopian Airlines resumes flights after COVID-19 prompts suspension • Dominican Republic, Haiti: Sunrise Airways plans to resume flights between countries from 3 July as Port-au-Prince’s Toussaint Louverture International Airport reopens • China, Germany: Lufthansa resumes flights between Frankfurt, Shanghai as COVID-19 restrictions ease • Poland: LOT Polish Airlines will resume 70 routes from 15 July • Bangladesh, Turkey, United Arab Emirates: Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh allows Turkish Airlines, Air Arabia to operate flights from Dhaka amid COVID-19 pandemic • China, Switzerland: Swiss International Air Lines resumes scheduled passenger service to Shanghai TRAINS: • No Updates Areas & airports imposing further restrictions • Montenegro: Government reintroduces some COVID-19 restrictions following increase in infections • Namibia: Air Namibia extends suspension of regional, international flights to 31 August because of COVID-19 restrictions • Rwanda: U.S. Embassy reports lockdown of four villages in Kicukiro district, two villages in Nyarugenge district • India: New COVID-19 lockdown guidelines implemented in Guwahati until 12 July • Thailand: NokScoot Airlines to liquidate because of COVID-19 flight suspension • Brazil, Europe, Russia, U.S.: European Union will continue to ban travelers from Brazil, Russia, U.S when borders reopen on 1 July because of COVID-19 threat • South America, South Pacific: LATAM suspends ticket sales on 23 international, domestic routes after filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy • India: Government of Karnataka imposes total lockdown on Sundays from 5 July; nightly curfew to start from 29 June • Sudan: Khartoum's international airport to remain closed until 12 July • Ireland, U.K.: Ireland to retain quarantine period for travelers entering from British mainland amid ongoing COVID-19 concerns • Australia: Victoria state to implement mandatory COVID-19 tests, 14-day quarantine for returning travelers following spike in infections • Myanmar: Government extends suspension of international flights to 15 July; other COVID-19 measures remain • Sri Lanka: Aviation authorities delay reopening of Colombo International Airport beyond 1 August • Sudan: Government extends coronavirus lockdown in Khartoum state until 7 July • Pakistan, United Arab Emirates: Passengers from Pakistan required to take special COVID-19 test (Source: ATPI Alerts) Please stay informed by subscribing to ATPI Alerts.
