WHEREAS Middleton, Wisconsin, Is Home to the National Mustard Museum; And

WHEREAS Middleton, Wisconsin, Is Home to the National Mustard Museum; And

WHEREAS Middleton, Wisconsin, is home to the National Mustard Museum; and WHEREAS Middleton, Wisconsin, is also home to America’s Mustard College, to wit: POUPON U; and WHEREAS National Mustard Day is this coming Saturday, August 7, 2010; and WHEREAS the National Mustard Day celebration at the National Mustard Museum will feature hundreds of mustards as the condiment of choice for the thousands of visitors who will descend up the Good Neighbor City; and WHEREAS the free Oscar Mayer hot dogs offered at National Mustard Day will be free only if adorned with mustard; and WHEREAS the throngs of people coming to Middleton for National Mustard Day will be exceedingly generous in donating money for the “free” hot dogs and in paying for the family friendly mustard games, with all proceeds from donations and games going to Middleton Restoring Hope Transplant House; and WHEREAS representatives of Grey Poupon will be in Middleton for National Mustard Day; and WHEREAS the French’s mascot and the Silver Spring mascot will be in Middleton for National Mustard Day; and WHEREAS one of the famous Miller Park Klement’s Sauasage Racers will be in attendance at National Mustard Day and will expect that all of it Klement’s sausages will be covered with mustard; and WHEREAS the citizens of Middleton enjoy their mustards on a wide range of foods; and WHEREAS, according to the National Condiment Research Council 2010 Annual Report, “ketchup is now the leading cause of childhood stupidity; and WHEREAS mustard makes people smart, attractive, lucid, clever, kind, and condimentally correct; THEREFORE, the City of Middleton, by its duly elected officials, hereby declares itself a “Ketchup-Free Zone” on National Mustard Day, Saturday, August 7, 2010; AND THEREFORE, the City of Middleton, also by its duly elected officials, hereby declare Saturday, August 7, 2010, NATIONAL MUSTARD DAY in Middleton, a city-wide celebration; AND THEREFFORE, the City of Middleton, again by its duly elected officials, declare that it will in good faith attempt to limits its future use of the words “WHEREAS” and “THEREFORE.” .
