The first year the person serves as the VP, the second year as President, the third year as Past LIRT President President. With Linda’s resignation there is no one to fill the post of President at the end of Annual 2007. The Executive Board discussed the problem with our ALA Office Liaisons and reached a solution that will get us through this current situation. The Executive Board will continue on as is until the elections this Spring at which time a new Vice President will be elected by you, the members. The new Vice President will then serve a regular Inside term of office as listed above. I have been asked to extend my term of office as President for an extra year and have LIRT Midwinter 2007 agreed to do so.
