He has Bachelor Degree in Commerce and Master Degree in Social Work from the Utkal University of Odisha, India. He has completed his Ph.D. in Mental Health from Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, National Institute of Technology Rourkela, India. He has conducted research in various areas like Health and Mental Health, Medical Anthropology, Family and Child Welfare, Disability studies, and Tribal Health issues. He teaches Psychiatric Social Work, Working with Individuals and Communities, Qualitative Research, ICTs in Social Development and Health System Management. He has written many articles including conference papers and published in national and international reputed peer reviewed journals. He has an extensive professional experiences in university teaching; research consultancy; extensive field work supervision, mentoring post graduate students; conducted various soft skill training and professional development programmes; organised various national, international conference. He is also associated with various National organizations and associations including Indian Society of Professional Social Work (ISPSW).
