Individual Member / Province National Club National Equestrian Federation • MEMBERSHIP • Ordinary Members • Shall be National Associations represented in each of the 14 disciplines. • Each discipline to be properly constituted • Associate Members • Sanesa • Other members who may comply with the provisions of associate membership in terms of National Equestrian Federation constitution. • Athlete’s Representation • One representative from the ordinary membership of FEI disciplines • One representative from the ordinary membership of Non FEI disciplines. Elections and Voting • The Executive of the Federation shall be elected in terms of the constitution from the membership who qualify and whose nominations is properly constituted. • Proposed voting for the election of the executive shall be as follows: • Ordinary members 1 vote per discipline • Associate members 1 vote per Associate • FEI Athletes Representation 2 votes • Non FEI Athletes Representation 2 votes National Executive • President to be voted for by all of the memberships. • FEI Vice President to be voted by FEI ordinary members. • Non FEI Vice President to be voted by NON FEI ordinary members. • Treasurer to be voted for by all of the memberships. • The Secretary General who may be elected or employed and shall have no vote. • President of National Federation can not also be President of a respective DA. Funding and Affiliation Individual member National DA to affiliate Provincial DA only affiliates to to National Equestrian affiliates to Provincial DA Federation based on National DA directly or via a club pro-rata membership All members of all disciplines are affiliated to National Equestrian Federation, ensuring financial sustainability Equestrian South Africa Dressag e & Para Endurance Eventing Tent Pegging Jumping Carriag Western MG e Equestrian Driving South Africa Polo Vaulting Polo - Western Per & crosse Reining Saddle Equitati Seat on Showing Provincial Equestrian Federation • In each of the nine geopolitical provinces, the chairs of the DA’s provincial member will coordinate a Provincial Equestrian Federation, (PEF) which will in turn affiliate to the Provincial Sports Confederation. Advantages to proposed structures • All 14 DA’s are separate legal entities with membership to National Equestrian Federation (NEF), having representation and a vote on NEF council. • Each DA runs their own sport, under the umbrella body NEF, who in turn is the only liaison for Equestrian sport with SASCOC. • There is no Duplication of provincial bodies and costs. • SANESA to operate under the DA rules and regulations. • All members of all DA’s are affiliated to NEF, ensuring financial sustainability. • All individual members have a voice on the NEF council via their DA, who has their best interest in mind. • Smaller disciplines will not be lost in the system, as they will have a vote at the NEF council..
