CU-Oregon TV: Pac-12 Network / Ted Robinson (play-by-play) / Glenn Parker (color analyst) / Drea Avent (sidelines) / Michael Molinari (producer) STAT OF THE WEEK Colorado has been “Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde-ish” in the second half: in the third quarter, the opponents have outscored the Buffs by 38-6 (though own just a 255-173 edge in total offense). But in the fourth quarter, it’s swung back to the Buffaloes, who own a 53-16 edge on the scoreboard and a 415-291 edge in yards (CU’s best offensive quarter). The Colorado defense has also forced five fourth-quarter turnovers. OBSCURE NOTE OF THE WEEK Out of the Gate: in 2012, Colorado got off to disastrous starts for the most part, being outscored in the first quarter by 136-41 and outgained by over 700 yards (1,598 to 881). Now fast-forward to this season, and after three games, there’s marked improvement: it’s Colorado that is off to the faster start, 20-10 in points and 397-238 in offense. 2013 COLORADO SCHEDULE & RESULTS (2-1, 0-1 PAC-12) 2013 Date CU* Opponent Opp* TV Result/Time Record Series This-N-That or ’12 rewind Sept. 1 NR Colorado State (Denver) NR CBS-SN W 41-27 2-3 62-21-2 Wood throws for 400 yards/3 TD; Richardson hauls in 10 for 208/2 TDs in return SEPT. 7 NR CENTRAL ARKANSAS (N) NR P12N W 38-24 2-2 1- 0-0 CU gets two INT return TDs and scores 21 4Q points in upending FCS No. 5 team SEPT. 14 NR FRESNO STATE NR P12N POSTPONED 4-0 4- 2-0 Game postponed due to record rainfall and subsequent flooding in Boulder Sept. 28 NR at Oregon State NR P12N L 17-44 4-1 2- 4-0 Beaver TD’s at end of first and start of second halves break open close 10-3 game OCT. 5 OREGON (FW) (2) P12N 4:07 p.m. 3-0 8- 9-0 Ducks’ speed too much for Buffs, UO led 56-0 at half; Powell ran for 121/2 TD Oct. 12 at Arizona State (22) P12N 8:00 p.m. 3-1 0- 4-0 CU down 20-17 at half; second half opening KOR for TD shifts momentum to ASU OCT. 19 CHARLESTON SOUTHERN TBA TBA 5-0 0- 0-0 Buccaneers agree on Sept. 30 to replace Fresno State on 2013 CU schedule OCT. 26 ARIZONA (HC) TBA TBA 3-1 13- 2-0 Frosh Powell, Abron combine for 220 rush yards, but UA’s Carey nets 366 Nov. 2 at UCLA (12) TBA TBA 3-0 2- 6-0 Buffs down 21-7 in 3rd, but stopped on a 4th-&-1, FUM and INT; UCLA pulls away Nov. 9 at Washington (15) TBA TBA 4-0 5- 7-1 UW breaks open a tight 7-0 game at halftime with 17 third quarter points NOV. 16 CALIFORNIA TBA TBA 1-3 2- 4-0 ’11 game was non-league affair (Cal 36-33 in OT/Boulder); thus first Pac-12 game NOV. 23 SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA TBA TBA 3-2 0- 7-0 Barkley throws 6 TD passes (in ’11 & ‘12); CU nets just two FGs in 5 redzone trips Nov. 30 at Utah TBA TBA 3-1 31-25-3 Back-to-back 100-yard KOR TDs by CU (Mosley), UU (Dunn), but latter won it (All times mountain.
