General Tortilla Info Flour: Pressed and Stretched tortillas are the two most common types of tortillas. A 3rd is die cut that is not quite as common. We are going to look at Pressed and Stretched. Pressed- Great for fajitas, burrito, soft tacos and quesadillas. These are great for folding or rolling because they do not crack. Stretched- A process is used that mimics a traditional hand-stretched tortilla. These are used more for frying. (Ex. taco salad bowls, chimichangas, and flautas.)
