Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove. ------ Ethel Haapapuro Ethel Lorena Heskett Haapapuro, 72, of St. Clairsville, died Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2003 at the Barnesville Health Care Center in Barnesville. She was bom Jan. 8, 1931 in Wamock, a daughter of the late Robert Isaac and Goldie Abel Williams. She was a homemaker and attended the Rock Hill Baptist Church at Flushing. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Melvin Heskett in 1989; two brothers, Robert and Harry and two sisters, Olive and Leona. Surviving are her husband, Kenneth Haapapuro; three sons, Ronald Heskett and his wife Judy of Newark, Roger Heskett and his, wife Angie of Barnesville and Richard Heskett of Newark; one daughter, Gina Fielding and her husband Ed of Shadyside; two sisters, Helen Williams and Hazel DeQuine, both of St. Clairsville; six step children. Also 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He retired after 25 years at Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation’s Martins Ferry plant. He was a mem­ ber of the Church of God- Seventh Day in Moundsville, W.Va., and was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. Ken was the first born son of Henry and Hilja Amanda Hanson Haapapuro of Hancock, Mich., born November 12, 1927. In addition to his parent, Ken was preceded in death by two brothers Donald and John, as well as his wife and mother of his children, Darlene Hull Haapapuro, and his second wife, Ethel Lorenna Heskett Haapapuro. He is survived by his lov­ ing wife of two wonderful years, Dorothy Ollaneto Ruotsala Haapapuro; sib­ lings Bruce, June, Norman, Norma, May, Jean, Karen and Evelyn, his seven chil­ dren, Beatrice Place, Thomas, Grace Luginski, Tina Snow', Tammy Elerick, William and Mark, his stepchildren Regina Jarvi, Ryan Ruotsala, Randall Ruotsala and Roxann Ruotsala, as well as 26 grandchildren and 16 great­ grandchildren.
