2020 Concerto Competition Repertoire All Concerto Competition participants must register for the UBC Chamber Orchestra Festival and be prepared to perform a concerto at both the VSOI and the UBC COF. The top 5 or 6 applicants will all perform their concertos with the UBC Chamber Festival Orchestra. The top 3 applicants will perform live in a final competition round during the VSOI. The winner will be chosen after the final round and asked to perform 1 movement of their concerto at Sunset Beach with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra. The winner will also perform with the UBC Chamber Festival Orchestra during the UBC COF. This may be two different pieces. You only need to submit one for the application. List A You may submit one movement from ANY concerto to the VSOI Concerto Competition. However, if the winner chooses repertoire not included on List B (UBC COF) below, the competition winner must also be prepared to play a movement of a work from List B for their performance with the UBC Chamber Festival Orchestra. The winner of the competition will perform twice, once with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra and once at the UBC COF. This may be two different pieces.
