Growler Toss (Located in the Beer Garden on the second floor of the Visitor Center) The festive Como Beer Garden is home to a new activity at Bouquets – the Growler Toss! Get a “ringer” and take home a growler, tap room gift card or another beer-related item to commemorate your “tossing” skills. Even if you don’t ring a bottle, you will be rewarded with a fun prize. Tickets are $10 for two rings or $20 for five. Thanks to our Growler Toss donors: Trustees of Como Friends, Insight Brewing and Bauhaus Brew Labs. BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND! Cork Pull (Located on the First Floor of the Visitor Center) Try your chance at winning a $100 bottle of wine, a restaurant gift card, or a gift certificate to Garden Safari Gifts. Pull a cork and receive whatever is in the corresponding gift bag. Everyone is a winner in this game, as each bag contains either a gift card, bottle of wine or another goodie of at least $10 in value! Each pull is $20 and there are only 125 corks available. Due to Minnesota gaming rules, only cash or a check are accepted forms of payment. Mobile bidding works well on most Windows smartphones, newer Blackberry devices, all iPhones, and most Android smartphones. This unique experience begins in Polar Bear Odyssey with a Polar Bear Training and then moves to the Lodge for beer and food pairings and fun! This two-hour party is for up to 20 people (Monday-Thursday). Beer and food included. Date to be mutually agreed upon between Como Friends and Dan Parker. Meet a penguin up close and learn about Como’s penguin colony during this encounter. An adorable Como penguin picture is on the included custom bottle of wine. Value: Priceless 102 Custom Como Bottles of Wine: A sample of what Como has to offer adorns the customized labels on this collection of three bottles of wine. The lovable hedgehog is on the white, the photogenic sloth is on the red – and the sparkling wine has the stunning Conservatory. Donated by Friend of Como. Value: $91 103 Japanese Tea Ceremony: You and a guest will experience the tranquil and reflective ritual of an authentic Japanese Tea Ceremony in Como’s tea house. Value: $70 104 Feed the Giraffes: Como’s herd of gentle giants love visitors and your party of 10 can get up close and face-to-fur with these creatures as you feed them romaine lettuce, a favorite snack. Value: $1,000 105 Rise and Shine with the Gorillas: You’ll get to see what goes into the care and feeding of Como’s Western Lowland Gorillas, as you and your guests (up to 8) enjoy breakfast in the shelter and see how zoo keepers use operant conditioning to encourage these great apes to participate in their own healthcare, stay curious, and explore their surroundings. Value: Priceless 7 107 Wine Tasting Soiree: Be educated by Dave Kuennen, owner and operator of the premier wine shop BrightWines, as you sample specially selected wines in the beautiful Sunken Garden in the Majorie McNeely Conservatory. Dave is an expert in the field and a veteran educator at wine events – and coordinates and selects all the wines at Bouquets. This two-hour party is for 12 people (Monday - Thursday). Value: $1,267 108 Meet Chloe the Sloth: Chloe the Sloth spends most of her day snoozing in the sun perched atop her tree in Tropical Encounters. Bid on this experience to meet Chloe, watch her morning routine – and get the scoop from a zookeeper about what makes this adorable Hoffmann’s two-toed sloth tick. Includes a tour of Tropical Encounters. For six people and must be scheduled before 10:00 am. Donated by Como Park Zoo and Conservatory. Value: Priceless 109 Ski Away!: The Como ski hill is the perfect classroom to discover or hone your skiing and snowboarding skills. This package includes a one hour private lesson for snowboarding, a one hour private lesson for downhill skiing, and a one hour private lesson for cross country skiing. Equipment rental and Como hill lift tickets are included! All certificates are good for the 2017/2018 season.
