Mental health nurse now full-time on river with police. Harbour Revision Order • Marine Management Organisation formal consultation pending. • Application submitted, following informal, pre-consultation discussions with stakeholders. • Vital update of legislation to reflect modern era. Hammersmith Bridge • Work continues to mitigate impact of closure (eg: limited, bookable weekend transits for users, whilst owners Hammersmith & Fulham Council (and TfL) identify long- term solution. • TfL running a public procurement process for a ferry service option. Tree management programme in development with LBRuT • Latest programme for 8 km stretch of riverbank (Beverley Brook to Kew). • Programme will be based on principles, incl public and navigational safety, tree health, public amenity, biodiversity (native black poplars) and flood defences, of which the revetment is part. • Plan based on a comprehensive, GIS based, audit of the entire towpath. • Consultation when draft plan is ready. Other local news • New Upper River maintenance team – repairs on PLA assets (eg: revetments at Mortlake). • Fulham FC roof deliveries due to end in March. • Thames Tideway Tunnel Environment update • Air Quality Strategy updated. • Thames Green Scheme launched. • Net Zero commitment; 60% cut in PLA emissions by 2025; Net Zero by 2040. • New Cleaning the Thames litter website. Thames Freeport bid submitted • DP World and Forth Ports bid, with London Gateway, Port of Tilbury and Ford’s Dagenham engine plant at its heart. • 25,000 extra jobs. • Key for levelling up and supporting deprived communities.
