TurkJBot 29(2005)435-461 ©TÜB‹TAK ResearchArticle FloraofKirmirValley(Güdül,Ankara) BurcuTARIKAHYAELÇ‹,Sad›kER‹K HacettepeUniversity,FacultyofScience,DepartmentofBiology,06532,Beytepe,Ankara-TURKEY Received:22.12.2004 Accepted:08.09.2005 Abstract: ThispaperdescribesafloristicstudyonKirmirvalley,betweenGüdülandYeflilözdistrict,inAnkaraprovince.Thestudy wascarriedoutduring2000-2003and1040vascularplantspecimenswerecollected.Fourhundredandforty-eightwildtaxa belongingto266generaand74familiesweredetermined.Furthermore,asforcultivatedplants,45taxaweredetermined.The totalnumberofwildandcultivatedplantspeciesis493.Thirty-twoofthewildtaxaareendemictoTurkeyandtherateofendemism is7.1%.The3largestfamiliesare Asteraceae (43taxa),Brassicaceae (40taxa),andFabaceae (37taxa).Thelargest3generaare Alyssum L.with10taxa, Veronica L.with7taxaand Salvia L., Astragalus L.and Vicia L.with6taxa.Thephytogeographical distributionofthewildspeciesisasfollows:Irano-Turanianelements73(16.3%),Mediterraneanelements46(10.3%)andEuro- Siberianelements43(9.6%).Forty-sevenspeciesarenewrecordsfortheA4square.Similaritiesbetweenthetaxaandratioof phytogeographicalelementsofKirmirvalleyandthoseof10otherstudiesperformednearourstudyareawerecomparedusing clusteringanalysis.
