P a g e | 1 NOBLE FAMILY Branovački Original document at, http://www.czipm.org/branovachki.html By Alexander Bačko Family Branovački from Sente in Backa, in the province of Vojvodina. Patron saint of the family's St.. George, and St. George, on May 6, according to the new calendar (23 April as usual). Branovački the family that made a greater number of prominent members. At this point, we will enumerate some of them, who lived during the 18th and 19th centuries. Novi Sad mayor Stevan Branovački was born in Senta, June 1, 1804. He graduated from the law and became a lawyer and then served in Tisa District Magistrate. After that he became prisednik District Court in Novi Sad and the local vice president of the District Court. In 1861 he was elected deputy in Budapest. At one time he was the manager of the National Theatre from Novi Sad. In early 1865, he became vice president of Matica Serbian, and since 1872 its president. He died in 1880 godine.1) His son Evgen (Genova) Branovački was a famous philanthropist, along with his wife Persida (Ida), sister Joce Vujic from Sente. In addition to Genoa, Stevan had a daughter Milica and Sofia. The first was married to Gabriel Jovanovic, friends Svetozar Miletic, a second for Vladimir Budajia, a descendant of an old noble family from the Serbian Komoran.Although the literature encounters data that Đena Branovački had no children, though it can reasonably expect that his son was Momcilo Evg. Branovački, who died on June 14, 1937 year.2) Lord Simeon Branovački died at the age of 63 in Santee on April 9, 1825 and was buried "east of the southern gate," the local Orthodox Church. His gravestone is preserved until our dana.3) George Branovački along with their children: Christopher, Jelena and Georgi by tombstone "east of the southern gate" of the church in Senta his wife Melanie Branovački, born "by Stojanovic" (it was, So was born aristocrat). She died on 13 January 1835 at age 32. The marriage was P a g e | 2 conducted by 13 years.4) On the south choir church in Santee is preserved and an inscription of 26 August 1835, stating that he was buried there Teodor Branovački, who then died at age 26. In the same place he was buried on April 10, 1845, and Hristina Branovački born Dimitrijevic, who lived for 33 years. The monument is by Theodore sin (Hristinin husband) Stefan Branovački, "Distri (iktski) tanačnik, Fiškal and attachment (ednik)", along with their children, Yevgeny and Milica. They were undoubtedly identical with said Stevan, later mayor of Novi Sad and its decom.5) As noted in 1883, the 10th of August of each year shall be maintained memorial service for family and Đena going Branovački the Orthodox Church in Santee. Of their fund, among other things, was consecrated in 1893 and Serbian Orthodox school, located on a farm near Senta. Tosa Branovački was a teacher, and one of his record from 1889 to preserve the Menaion in Senta crkvi.6) Among other mention of this family in the 19th century, worth mentioning is the one preserved in the registers Šajkaška area (south of Senta). Members of this family are mentioned in these nuts, indicating that Senta (1850), and are also mentioned in the Toad (three times in 1874). In Sombor Orthodox Registries, again, Branovački statements in the period between 1834 and 1841. Today in Sombor, no members of the porodice.7) All of the above Branovački, apparently originating from Senta, or were born there. In the mid 18th century, this is a very specific and rare name is mentioned only in Senta and the Old Becej. In fact, in 1751 the two branches Branovačkih virtually independently of one another, given plemstvo.8) Saturday Branovački lieutenant in Santee, received on March 1, 1751, together with members of his immediate family, noble list and armorial. These documents were issued in Vienna. With him were the nobles get: his wife, Mary was born Žarković, and their children Jacob, Paul, George, Simeon, Gabriel, Mark, John and Martha. Subotin son Simeon was certainly identical with said master Simeon Branovački, deceased in 1825. Family Saturday Branovačkog the grant was issued in 1758, and the nobility declared in Backa County in 1775. Lieutenant Saturday Branovački is mentioned in a list of nobles Tisa district crown in 1756, (specificatio Nobilium in Inclyto coroniali District Tybisciano ... Szentha ... Saturday Branovacsky LEUDO). Peter Branovački (Peter Branovacski), one of the Serb members of the local administration in Senta, who is mentioned in 1768, it was certainly a member of his immediate family, probably one of the younger Subotinih sinova.9) Mihajlo Branovački, lieutenant in the Old Bečej and members of their immediate families, are also in Vienna on 1 March 1751 were issued to the nobility and grbovnica list. Then Mihailova family consisted of his wife Mary was born Miletonović and daughter Ana. Grant on properties in Old Bečej issued Branovački.Her 1758. No information about Mihailova male offspring, as in the 18th century, nor from a later period, as well as some older Branovački Becej general. All branches of the family Branovački today, apparently originate from Saturday P a g e | 3 Branovačkog or from Sente.10) nobility, which was awarded the officers of the family Branovački in relation to the events in the territory of the Tisa River in the mid-18th century. In fact, in 1751 by Empress Maria Theresa decided to disband Potiska military borders and in its place establish Potiski district crown. This decision is supported by a number of graničarskih officers, while they were border guards, who did not want to live in the District of newly migrated. On this occasion, a large number of officers of the Tisza river, which was supported by the Empress's decision, given the nobility. In addition to the title, they got the house and out of their land (lieutenants were then given on 58 acres of land), but not the oppressed. Among these officers were Saturday and Michael Branovački.11) In earlier censuses also encountered the ancestors of the family. In censuses Sente and Old Bečej from 1720 no members of this family, but they are in a list of Subotica composed and recorded in the three hosts with surname Branovčanin. It is the older version of the surname of the family Branovački. Then they listed: Tesa Branovčanin Corporal (Cpl) in the first cavalry unit in Subotica (companyâ receive equestris Ordinis ... corporalis Thesa Branovsanin, These Branocsanin), CVEJA Branovčanin member of the same military unit (Czvejo Branovcsanin) and David Branovčanin soldier frontiersman in the local infantry Unit (companyâ pedestris Ordinis ... David Branovtsanin manuarius, David Bravnotsanin). Somewhat later, in the period between 1724 and 1732, among the contributors Orthodox in Subotica mentioned Radonja Branovčanin. Today it is not possible to say which of these Branovačana direct ancestor of Senta family Branovački, but it can be assumed that it would first have to be mentioned corporal Tesa Branovčanin, who was an officer (NCO), as well as Saturday and Michael Branovački.12 ) Branovačkih ancestors were from Subotica to Senta and Old Novalja probably moved in 1743. In fact, it was Subotica lost status of military boundaries and become ventricular town. Therefore, a larger number of graničarskih (military) family moved to Šajkaška, and some of them probably also in other places in Potiskoj military border, who still had a border status.13) The list of Subotica from 1720 is the oldest known document which specifies the names of the ancestors of the family Branovački. Toponomastic surname of the family, as his older version (Branovčanin) testify further the origin of the Branovačkih Farm (Branjovo). This place may be identical with the village "Brano" which is mentioned in 1543 under the Ottoman rule. Farm is located between Bikića and MATEOVIĆ, in the Hungarian part of Backa, east of Bayeux. It was around 1650 recorded a town, but in 1735, referred to as wastelands. The village is deserted, but probably before 1715, since in Backa censuses from 1715 and 1720 is not mentioned. From Branjevo were in Subotica, somewhere in the transition from the 17th to the 18th century, undoubtedly moved ancestors Branovačkih (Branovčana) .14) Since the ancestors P a g e | 4 Branovačkih still in transition from the 17th to the 18th century emigrants from Branjevo, and their name was formed precisely at this point, it can be reasonably assumed that they lived in Branjevo even before the Great Migration of the Serbs under the Patriarch Arsenije III Čarnojević godine.15 1690) Thus, the ancestors of the family Branovačkih lived in the former Branjevo (Branjovu) between Bikića and MATEOVIĆ in the Hungarian part of Backa (east of Bayeux). Named place of origin established their name. Likely to have stayed in this place even before the Great Migration of the Serbs (1690). Somewhere in the transition from the 17th to the 18th century, they moved them to Subotica, where the three hosts belonging to this family are mentioned in 1720 under the surname Branovčanin older.Subotica are branches of the family moved to Senta and Old Novalja probably in 1743.Lieutenant Saturday Branovački, as well as his wife and children, received 1 March 1751 the nobility. The same day, the nobility got Lieutenant Michael Branovački with his wife and daughter. Apparently, the seed Mikhail Branovačkog is missing the male line, while the offspring of immediate family Saturday (today's families Branovački) branching by Senti and elsewhere. This family has made a greater number of prominent members, among which we can mention: Novi Sad mayor Stevan Branovačkog, benefactors Genova and Idu, master Simeon and others.
