Seacon Product Guide 2011

CORPORATE STATEMENT eacon Corporation was founded in Akron, Ohio in 1995 with a goal to provide a higher level of personal service to corpora- tions purchasing rubber chemicals. We noticed that suppliers were inter- ested only in selling chemicals rather than creating long-term partnerships, causing dissatisfaction for Fortune 1000 companies who desired strong technical support, innovation, con- sistent quality, and alternative over- seas sourcing. Seacon was founded to fill that market void. Seacon is dedi- cated to providing the highest levels of integrity, personal service, technical support, and product quality to solve the challenges of our clients and build mutually rewarding long-term relationships. Seacon’s bold new strategy and market leadership has been rewarded with immediate success and has enjoyed uninterrupted growth. We were one of the early pioneers to source rubber chemicals from China and currently maintain an office in Shanghai to manage our network of suppliers. Seacon imports the highest quality chemicals available in China from the premier Chinese plants. Our direct relationships with the factories re- move trading companies from our supply chain and provide immediate communication and consistent product quality from each factory for every shipment. In 2005 Seacon purchased an industrial facility and production equipment to manufacture its own chemicals to complement those we import from China. We now operate four production lines which produce numerous innovative chemicals for the rubber and plastics industries. We also offer toll manufacturing services and operate a domestic trucking company, Seacon Transportation Ltd., to serve our customers. Seacon’s ISO 9001:2008 certified production facility, trucking company, and network of factories in China offer our customers outstanding value and place Seacon on the cutting edge of chemical sourc- ing for the rubber and plastics industries. Please let us know how we can be of service to your organ- ization. SEACON CORPORATION Sean E. MODIFIED AZODICARBONAMIDE COMPOUNDS AC‐5000 123‐77‐3 powder A modified nitrogen blowing agent with a low decomposion azodicarbonamide paste temperature and medium size parcle diameter. AC‐5000 can be masterbatch used in sponge rubber, vinyl foams, polyethylene foam, polysty‐ rene, and ABS where a lower decomposion temperature is need‐ 2 micro‐pellet ed. AC‐6000 123‐77‐3 powder A modified nitrogen blowing agent with a low decomposion azodicarbonamide paste temperature and small parcle diameter. AC‐6000 can be used in masterbatch flexible PVC and most elastomers processed about 170°C. micro‐pellet Unifoam AZ MI‐25T 123‐77‐3 powder A modified foaming agent 160°C decomposion temperature and paste with 178 mL/gram gas evoluon. Suitable for expanding rubber, masterbatch thermoplascs, and EVA. Excellent storage stability, maintaining micro‐pellet constant decomposion temperature and gas evoluon compared to compeve products in the market. Unifoam AZ MI‐25TZ 123‐77‐3 powder A blend of exothermic and endothermic foaming agents designed paste specifically for use in rigid PVC foams. Has a decomposion tem‐ masterbatch perature of 180°C and a gas yield of 200 mL/gram. MI‐25TZ gives micro‐pellet a smooth, uniform and strain‐free cellular structure. Unifoam AZ MI‐25SO 123‐77‐3 powder A blend of foaming agents and acvators designed specifically for paste use in rigid PVC. A 160°C decomposion temperature and 135 masterbatch mL/gram gas yield, endothermic agents prevent distoron by micro‐pellet absorbing heat. MI‐25SO gives a smooth, uniform and strain‐free cellular structure. Unifoam AZ MI‐25TC 123‐77‐3 powder A modified foaming agent designed specifically for use in rigid PVC paste foams. It is constructed from a specialized blend of several foam‐ masterbatch ing agents and auxiliary agents, and maintains the decomposion micro‐pellet temperature of pure azodicarbonamide while providing opmal foaming characteriscs. CHEMICAL FOAMING AGENTS PRODUCT NAME CAS NO. APPEARANCE / FORM USE / PURPOSE HYDRAZINE COMPOUNDS OBSH‐8 80‐51‐3 powder An 8µ foaming agent suitable for use in open and closed P,P’‐Oxybis benzene oiled powder cell rubber, LDPE, EVA, and so vinyl. OBSH‐8 has a low sulfonyl hydrazide micro‐pellet decomposion temperature and can be used without ac‐ paste vators. It is non‐staining and non‐discoloring. Produces an masterbatch ammonia‐free gas making it suitable for use in cellular cable insulaon. TSH 1576‐35‐8 powder General purpose low temperature foaming agent. Suitable P‐Toluene suflonyl masterbatch for expanding liquid polysulfide rubbers at ambient temper‐ hydrazide ature. BSH 80‐17‐1 powder A non‐staining, non‐discoloring, non‐toxic, odorless nitro‐ benzenesulfonyl hydrazide oiled powder gen foaming agent. Has a decomposion temperature of paste 90‐105°C and 115‐120 mL/gram gas evoluon. masterbatch CARBAZIDES TSS 10396‐10‐8 powder TSS delivers gas at higher temperatures than other foaming 3 P‐Toluene Sulfonyl masterbatch agents. Suitable for use in ABS, low melt index Polyolefins, Semicarbazide impacted PS, and rigid PVC. 140‐150 ml/gram gas yield; 224 ‐235°C decomposion temperature. ACTIVATORS & STABILIZERS Acvator N46 57‐13‐6 powder A non‐dusng, non‐staining urea acvator used to lower paste the decomposion temperature of azodicrabonamide blow‐ masterbatch ing agents in rubber compounds. Reacts with amine by‐ products of azodicarbonamide to reduce the amine odor. Acvator BM 24308‐84‐7 powder A strong organometallic acvator for ADC blowing agents zinc salt of benzenesulfinic oiled powder which produces a whiter foam than pure ADC. Non‐ acid paste discoloraon allows for a decrease in tanium dioxide with‐ masterbatch out sacrificing whiteness. Acvator TM 13438‐45‐4 powder A strong organometallic acvator for ADC blowing agents zinc ditoluene sulfinate oiled powder which produces a whiter foam than pure ADC. Non‐ paste discoloraon allows one to decrease loadings of tanium masterbatch dioxide without sacrificing whiteness. Stabilizer Q powder Heat stabilizer for calendared rubber aer expansion and oiled powder for PVC foams. micro‐pellet ACCELERATORS PRODUCT NAME CAS NO.
