Music is an extremely successful department both academically and in performance and enjoys excellent public examination results at GCSE and A Level. We are looking for a teacher with a strong commitment to their subject, with strength and interest in choral direction. We seek an individual who will complement the current departmental team, who has the passion necessary to inspire students and ensure strong academic, musical and performance outcomes. Reporting to the Director of Music, the post holder will be a professional musician with relevant performing and teaching qualifications, and experience of teaching in selected key stages in the secondary school music curriculum. There will also be scope for some individual teaching/coaching and opportunities to make a major contribution to the co-curricular programme in the school. The post holder will provide oversight and administration for the vocal and choral music programme. Competent pianistic skills would be a useful asset.
