Established by 31 of China's most influential entrepreneurs, economists and diplomats in 2006, the CEC is a hub for Chinese entrepreneurial exchange, cooperation, and international collaboration. As a private non-profit organization, the CEC is committed to nurturing entrepreneurship and business integrity while paving the future of sustainable economic and social development. CEC members represent the first generation of modern Chinese entrepreneurs. Members and member companies are proud to signify commercial success while abiding by the rules and regulations of the market economy. CEC members continue to set the example for sustainable competitiveness by actively engaging in public welfare initiatives and endorsing corporate social responsibility. CEC member companies are economic powerhouses, with 46 dynamic companies earning a total annual gross income of over two trillion RMB. The CEC mission and vision represent a set of core values for club members, employees and affiliates to live by. These values are the backbone of club activity, from International Visits and Member Company Visits, to the International Study Tour and Daonong Gala. Additionally, the Green Companies Alliance and China Green Companies Summit exhibit a relentless pursuit of building sustainable, transparent green companies in China. 2 China Green Companies Alliance (CGCA) “Green Companies” refers to companies that achieve sustainable competitiveness by building socially and environment-friendly networks. The China Green Companies Alliance (CGCA), initiated by the China Entrepreneur Club (CEC), is a value-sharing platform for member companies to develop and maintain sustainable business competitiveness. The alliance is committed to promoting corporate integrity and sustainable business practices by serving as a cross-sectoral exchange platform that brings together sustainable companies through activities like the China Green Companies Summit, quarterly Green Companies Roundtables, and Member Company Visits. All 46 member companies of the China Entrepreneur Club are members of the Alliance. 3 What We Do Events Annual Conference: China Green Companies Summit The China Green Companies Summit (CGCS) is one of the most influential cross-sectoral international business conferences in China focusing on business sustainability. Initiated by the China Entrepreneur Club in 2008, the summit takes place on April 20th - 22nd every year. The Summit annually hosts over 1,000 guests from China and abroad, including business leaders, political decision-makers, academic authorities, NGO representatives and influential journalists, each bringing global foresight and drive for reform to the event. During the Summit, privileged CGCA members shall have the option to participate in exclusive interactive sessions with the CEC members, local government leaders and other VVIPs. Format of such exclusive session(s) falls in: . Private breakfast / dinner . Business roundtable . One-to-one meeting 4 Green Companies Roundtable Green Companies Roundtable is a quarterly invitation-only event that offers Alliance members the opportunity to visit the Top 100 Green Companies for company tours, symposiums, and case analysis of sustainable business practices. July 2013, Breakfast meeting with European business delegation headed by Mr. Antonio Tajani, Vice-President of the European Commission September 2013, Business meeting with Prime Minister of Finland Jyrki Katainen, together with a Finnish business delegation 6 Publications Green Companies Magazine Dedicated to exploring the essentials of modern businesses, the Green Companies Magazine discusses new drive and concepts in the business field, promotes the idea of “achieving sustainable competitiveness by building social- and environment-friendly networks”. China’s Top 100 Green Companies Ranking China’s Top 100 Green Companies Project is China’s first cross-sector ranking system that evaluates sustainable competitiveness of enterprises. Published for the first time in 2008, the ranking is released at the China Green Companies Summit of each year. It’s reported as the most forward-looking evaluation system for enterprise competitiveness. From the third party’s perspective, the ranking system involves experts and scholars from both China and abroad to review and assess public information of participating companies, with all evaluation standards and processes accessible via the Internet. China Outbound Investment Newsbrief The monthly Newsbrief delivers specific investment projects and sector information most fitting to the interests of Alliance members. The investment projects are selected from partners around the globe. This Newsbrief will enable Alliance members to gain an understanding of project opportunities overseas, and establish direct contact to projects and partners through the Investment Alliance platform. 7 Join Us Member Benefits As a member of the China Green Companies Alliance, the company shall enjoy the following benefits: China Green Companies Summit One free pass for senior executive and 20% discount for additional participants; One senior executive shall have the option to participate in closed-door sessions. Green Companies Roundtable The member company shall have the option to host or participate in quarterly Green Companies Roundtables. High-profile Networking Activities One senior executive shall have the option to participate in selected networking activities with high-profile Chinese and international counterparts. Green Companies Magazine The member company shall have the option to contribute featured stories or company ads (size: 1/2p) in one issues of the magazine. China’s Top 100 Green Companies Ranking The member company shall have the option to take part in the Green Companies evaluation and Top 100 ranking.
