COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING :: GUNTUR The following are the list of literary & cultural committee activities organised during June, 2016 – March 25th, 2017: 1. L&CC organised Yoga classes by Sri Manohar, Yoga Teacher, Isha Inner Engineering, Isha Foundation, Coimbatore for U.G & P.G students during 20-21 June, 2016. 2. L&CC has taken part in organising Graduation Day of the Autonomous batch celebrated on 02.07.2016, in which, Sri Rayapati Sambasiva Rao garu, M.P, Lok Sabha was the distinguished Guest. Dr.V.K.Saraswat, Member, NITI Aayog, New Delhi was the Chief Guest and Dr.P.Udaya Bhasker, Chairman, Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission was the Guest of Honour. 3. Student-Parent Meet organized on 11.07.2016 for which Sri Jammula S.R.K.Prasad, Vice-Chairman, Confederation of Indian Industries, A.P & CEO, Better Castings, Vijayawada was the Chief Guest and Management Members address the Parents & Freshers. 4. Club Endeavour – A student initiated Literary Club organized General Quiz for U.G & P.G students on 28.07.2016. 5. Fresher’s Day Celebrations were organized on 30th July, 2016 for which Sri Narayana Naik, A.S.P and Dr.K.Lakshminarayabna, Retired I.A.S, Former Commissioner of Technical Education, A.P & Member A.P.State Skill Development Corporation were the Chief Guests, Sri O.Venkata Nageswara Rao, Principal Senior Civil Judge-cum-Chief Judicial Magistrate, Guntur & Sri Vennelakanti, Telugu Cine Writer, Chennai were the guests of honour. 6. L&CC co-organized Mega Job Mela on 26.08.2016 & 27.08.2016, in which the Hon’ble Ministers of A.P. were the guests for inaugural function & Sri Rayapati Sambasiva Rao garu, M.P & Dr.Kodela Siva Prasad garu were the Chief Guests for Valedictory. 7. L&CC organized GOTIPUA, a Traditional Dance form in the State of Odisha by SPICMACAY (Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music & Culture Among Youth), New Delhi on 31.08.2016. 8. RED ANTS – A student initiated Fine Arts Club organised Pencil Shading & Face Painting Competitions for U.G & P.G students on 01.09.2016. 9. RED ANTS – A student initiated Fine Arts Club organised Fine Arts work shop on Paper Craft (New Looks with News Papers) on 07.09.2016 by Sri N.V.Subba Rao, National Award Winning. 10. As a part of Implementation of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan – Swatchhta Fakhwada, The L&CC has organised competitions in painting competition on Sanitation & Cleanliness, Essay Competition on Sanitation & Cleaning importance and best slogan on Swachh Bharath on 14.09.2016. 11. L&CC has organized Swachh Bharat Pledge in the college campus on 15.09.2016 to observe Swachh Bharath Day suggested by the AICTE & Ministry of Drinking Water & Sanitation. 12. CLUB SPARK – A Student initiated Knowledge Club has organized competition in Software Development, Technical Working Model Presentation & Paper Presentation for students on 26.09.2016. 13. L&CC has co-organised World Space Week 2016 celebrations during 4-5 October, 2016 organised by Satish Dhawan Spaec Centre, SHAR, Srihari Kota in which, Dr.Rayapati Srinivas garu, Ex-MLC, Secretary, N.E.S was the Distinguished Guest, Prof.P.Narasimha Rao, Vice-Chairman, A.P.State Council of Higher Education was the Chief Guest, Prof.K.R.S.Sambasiva Rao, Rector, ANU and Sri V.Kumbakarnan, Project Director, SHAR, Sri Hari Kota were the guests of honour for inaugural function and Prof.A.Rajendra Prasad, V.C, A.N.U was the Chief Guest for valedictory function. 14. L&CC organized the Amar Jawan Rally conducted on 21.10.2016, condemning the Uri Attack, for which, Dr.K.Basavapunnaiah, President, NES is the Chief Guest. 15. L&CC has taken part in the inauguration of Faculty Improvement Program on IBM cloud computing on 17.,10.2016 organized by A.P.State Skill Development Corporation, in which Dr.Ghanta Subba Rao, Special Secretary to Enterpreneurship & Skill Development Corporation, A.P and Ex-Officio Secretary to Govt. of A.P was the Chief Guest and Sri Viqaruddin Surki, Lead Learning Developer, I.B.M, Ananth Kulkarni, I.T.Specialist, I.B.M, Prof.Thrimurthy, University Relation Head, Dr.T.Lakshmi, Head, Engg., Training & Development and Prof.T.Srinivasulu Reddy, Chief Evangelist for Technical Education were the guest(s) of honour. 16. 15 students participated in Debate, Essay Writing, Quiz competition organised by KBN College, Vijayawada as a part of their 37th State Level Inter Collegiate Competitions held on 19th November, 2016. 17. L&CC has arranged an awareness program on Quit-India organized by Swathantra Bharatha Ramesh Secretary, Sanskruthika Chaithanya Vedhika, Vijayawada for UG students on 29th November, 2016. 18. L&CC has organized Karnatic Musical Concept by Kala Ratna D.V.Mohan Krishna and his Team from Hyderabad on 2nd December, 2016 in memory of Dr.Mangalampalle Bala Murali Krishna. 19. Club Theatrix, A student initiated Dramatics Club organized Skirt & Miming, Group Events for UG & PG students on 5th December, 2016. 20. Club Waltz, A Student Initiated Dance Club has organized Dance Competitions in Western, Classical, Folk, Old is Gold (Up to 1980) (both Solo & Group) & Jodi Round during 16-17th December, 2016. 21. Club Spectrum, A Student Initiated Film Club has organized the competitions in Short Film (Any Theme) on 24th December, 2016. 22. L&CC has organized RANGOLI competitions for Girl Students on the eve of SANKRANTHI FESTIVAL on 5th January, 2017. 23. Guntur Municipal Corporation in Association with L&CC of R.V.R. & J.C.College of Engineering, Guntur organized “HAPPY SUNDAY” programme on 05.02.2017, Sunday during 7.00 a.m to 9.00 a.m at N.T.R.Stadium, Brundavan Gardens, Guntur in Classical & Dance (both Solo & Group), Folk Dance (both Solo & Group), Western Dance (both Solo & Group), Old is Gold (both Solo & Group), Creative Dance (both Solo & Group), Skit (Group), Miming (Group), Fashion Walk for Boys, Fashion Walk for Girls, Singing (both Solo & Group), Mono Action (both Solo & Group), Mimicry (both Solo & Group) etc,. 24. L&CC has organized YOUTH FEST-2K17 (A National Level Technical, Cultural & Sports Festival) during 17th-18th February, 2017. 25. L&CC has organized Clik Cine Craft (Cinema Chance) launched by Telugu Cine Actor Sri Jagapathi Babu, comprising of Music Director Sasi Preetham & his Team has visited our campus on 21.02.2017 (Tuesday) at 10.30 a.m to take auditions of the students for selecting in their next film. 26. L&CC has organized various competitions on the vent of “ANNUAL DAY CELEBRATIONS” in Singing, Dancing, Dramatics, Fine Arts and Literary events on 17.03.2017 (Friday) and prizes were distributed for the winners & runners. 27. L&CC has organized “ANNUAL DAY CELEBRATIONS” on 18.03.2017 (Saturday), for which, Sri E.V.S.Sai Babu, Vice-President, Talent Acquisition, Wipro Technologies, Bangalore was the Chief Guest & Smt.Gottipati Satya Vani, President, Bharathiyam and Sri Mulpuri Naga Sourya, Telugu Cine Hero, Hyderabad were the Guest of Honour(s) and addressed the gathering.
