It aimed to fill a gap in provision for young BME males, and to provide a targeted, culturally sensitive and holistic support service to meet their needs. Ethnic Youth Support Team got its first ever funding from the Swansea Development Fund for a 6 week pilot scheme, and grew from there to where it is now - Message from a team of 13 staff with 2 youth centres.
