CLICK HERE TO LEARN MORE ABOUT THE WASSERMAN FOOTBALL CENTER MEET A MEMBER OF YOUR UCLA ATHLETICS DEVELOPMENT TEAM Rashaad Moore Assistant Director of Development Hometown: Los Angeles, CA College: University of California, Riverside, Political Science, 2013 Start Date with UCLA Athletics Development: I was blessed to join UCLA on July 28, 2014, after serving as Assistant Director of Annual Giving for UC Irvine Athletics. In addition to working for UC Irvine, I had the pleasure of serving in a volunteer role for the 2013 & 2014 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament (West Region). While an undergraduate at UC Riverside, I was a member of the Men’s Track and Field team and served as the Development Associate for the UCR Athletics Association. What I Look Forward to Most about Becoming a Bruin: Born and raised in Los Angeles, CA, it is an honor and privilege to work for UCLA and wear these four letters across my chest. I look forward to meeting and hearing stories from fellow Bruins about the Gail Goodrich/Walt Hazzard days, to stories about Men’s Basketball beating Arizona in the 2014 PAC-12 Tournament Championship. Most importantly, I look forward to serving an institution that is in constant pursuit of excellence in both academics and athletics, and I’m excited about sharing my experience on how UCLA captures its 112th championship and beyond. Favorite Professional Sports Team: Los Angeles Lakers! NFL: Colts MLB: I grew up a Derek Jeter fan because he set the example for great leadership, so I find myself rooting for the Yankees. Now that he’s retiring, I’d like to blow the dust off my blue Dodger fitted cap and see what bandwagon discounts I can get on Dodger Dogs. Favorite John Wooden Quote: “You can’t live a perfect day without doing something for someone who will never be able to repay you.” Unique Fact About Yourself: Every summer, you can catch me somewhere on a lake, jet-skiing. I’ve been riding since I was 5 years old. However, I did not learn how to swim until I was 12 years old. Shout out to my life jacket! Message to Our Donors: In the time that I’ve been here, the passion and pride you all have for UCLA is quite evident and is a beautiful sight to see. Your generosity makes an immediate impact on the lives of our student-athletes and their experience here at UCLA. For this reason, you deserve nothing short of first-class service and experience as valued members of the Wooden Athletic Fund. I can assure you that our team here at UCLA is committed to enhancing the experience of our 700 student-athletes and your experience as supporters of our 25 intercollegiate teams. As we continue to strive for excellence, thank you for ensuring the success of UCLA Athletics. Go Bruins!
