The Second Session of the Baltic Assembly FINAL DOCUMENT The Baltic Assembly: having met at the second session on May 29-31, 1992 in Palanga; supported by the acts of the laws regarding the authorization of parliamentary delegations of the Republic of Lithuania, the Republic of Estonia and the Republic of Latvia; ruled by the Rules of the inter-parliamentary Assembly (Baltic Assembly) of the Republic of Lithuania, the Republic of Estonia and the Republic of Latvia; being assured that close cooperation is necessary in spheres of common interest; keeping in mind the new political and economic situation which has developed in these states as well as the practice of economic cooperation; supported by the suggestions of the Baltic Assembly Presidium and committees, the following is recommended to the parliaments and governments of the Baltic States: - to acknowledge the expediency of the inter-state agreement and to begin to prepare its draft text; - to renew the Agreement signed on April 12, 1992 concerning economic cooperation between Lithuania, Estonia and Latvia; - to finish the preparation and to sign the Legal Assistance Agreement. The Baltic Assembly appeals to all parliaments, inter-parliamentary organizations and the CSCE, requesting that they support the Baltic States in fulfilling their demands for the immediate withdrawal of the armed forces of the RFR from the territory of the Baltic States, as well as the complete elimination of the consequences of the unlawful Ribbentrop-MoIotov pact. The Baltic Assembly recommends that the parliaments and governments of the Baltic States make analogous appeals. The Baltic Assembly approves the following documents prepared by the pd4ml evaluation copy. visit http://pd4ml.com committees: - Recommendations for the Baltic State Juridical Bureau regulations and Legal Assistance Agreement; - Recommendations concerning coordinated action in the spheres of education, culture and science; - Recommendations for the development of communication systems; - Recommendations concerning joint coordinated actions for the provision of energy supplies. The Baltic Assembly confirms the Agreement concerning parliamentary cooperation between the Baltic Assembly and the Nordic Council. The Baltic Assembly approves the draft regulations of the Baltic State Juridical Bureau prepared by delegations of lawyers from Lithuania, Estonia and Latvia. The Baltic Assembly recommends that its next session be held in November 1992 in the Republic of Estonia.
