About us 2014 autumn Lithuanian Ukmergė sea scouts were sailing only with borrowed local sailors yachts. We built the first Lithuanian sea scout boat “Laumė” in 2015 . It inspired and empowered not only us, but youth from other Lithuania regions too. During this period, number of participating young people in the region increased 6 times, fleet consists of 5 yachts and rescue motorboat, we implemented some challenging and ambitious projects and events. A strong team of young people is growing. In our programme we develop young people independence, citizenship and discipline. It leads us to another very serious and challenging aim - creation of mobile training tool for sailing. We are making a first step and invite like-minded people and organizations to be project supporters. About the project Mobile training tool for sailing - 8 Optimist class yachts. Training tool will consist of trailer of 8 Optimists, rescue motorboat and minibus. We are aiming to complete the project by summer 2017. Trailer will travel where is need for sailing and young people to use it. We are going to build boats ourselves, it will be learning process of new skills: Optimist yacht symbol boatbuilding, drawing reading and numeracy, carpentry and team work.
