Court Code of Dress and Conduct To maintain the dignity of the court, the following list of minimum standards regarding appropriate attire and behavior must be adhered to in the courtroom by the minor and the parent/legal guardian. This mandatory code of conduct is strictly enforced. Failure to abide by this code will result in removal from the court and the case will be sent to Sylmar Juvenile Court. COURT DRESS CODE FOR MINOR AND PARENT / LEGAL GUARDIAN. 1) MEN need to wear a collared shirt, slacks/pants, or dress jeans (NO jerseys). No earrings (this includes facial piercings). Shirts must be tucked in. 2) WOMEN need to wear a blouse (collared shirt), dress pants, or dress jeans. A dress or skirt is also appropriate; however, dresses and skirts must be knee length or longer. No facial piercings. 3) Both men and women need to wear dress shoes or sneakers. All clothes must be clean and ironed. Dress to impress! NO baggy jeans, jeans with holes or patches, or jeans that must be held up by the wearer’s hands (oversized). NO shorts, sweatpants or sweatshirts, or capris. NO spaghetti straps, tank tops, halter tops, or strapless/low-cut or open-backed tops. Shoulders or midriffs should not be showing. NO tight or revealing clothing. When in doubt, do not wear it! NO exposed underwear. NO bare feet, slippers, sandals, or “Flip Flops.” NO offensive, violent, obscene, drug-related, or suggestive slogans or caricatures shall be displayed on clothing. CODE OF CONDUCT: 1) All cellular telephones must be turned off. Phones may be confiscated by the court officer if they disrupt court proceedings. 2) Guests of court participants are to remain silent in the courtroom and are not to interfere in court proceedings. 3) Guests of court participants may not sleep in the courtroom or create a disruption during court proceedings. 4) No food, drinks, chewing gum, pets, or cameras are allowed in the courtroom. Código de normas de vestuario y conducta Para mantener la seriedad del tribunal en sesión se debe cumplir con los siguientes requisitos de vestimenta al igual un nivel de conducta adecuado por parte del menor, los padres / guardianes. Dichas reglas de conducta deben ser cumplidas a la precisión. Al no respetar dichas normas, el caso será relegado al tribunal juvenil en Sylmar. NORMAS DE VESTUARIO PARA MENOR Y LOS PADRES / GUARDIÁN 1) HOMBRES- camisa y pantalones de vestir. Las camisas deben ser remetidas. 2) MUJERES- blusa y pantalones de vestir. También es apropiado llevar un vestido y/o falda a la rodilla ó más largo. 3) Tanto hombres como mujeres deberán usar zapatos de vestir. La ropa debe estar presentable y limpia. Viste para impresionar. NO pantalones flojos, con hoyos o parches o demasiado grandes. NO shorts, pantalones de ejercicio o pantalones pescadores. NO blusas de tirantes o sin tirantes, muy escotadas o con la espalda y los hombros descubiertos. NO ropa entallada o transparente. NO enseñar la ropa interior. NO pies descalzos, sandalias, pantuflas, huaraches, etc. NO mensajes violentos, ofensivos, obscenos, lemas o caricaturas sugestivas o relacionadas con drogas deberán ser expuestos en la ropa. NO gorras o sombreros Código de conducta: 1) Todos los celulares deben estar apagados. Los celulares serán confiscados por el oficial del recinto de ser interrumpido el juicio. 2) Los invitados de los participantes al tribunal deberán de permanecer en silencio durante la sesión y no interrumpir durante el proceso. 3) Los invitados de los participantes al tribunal no deben dormirse durante la sesión o causar interrumpir el proceso. 4) No comida, bebidas, chicle, mascotas, o cámaras son permitidas en la sala del tribunal. .
