DEATHS At Wigtown, on Sabbath, the 25th inst., John Muir, aged 16 years. At Newton-Stewart, on the 23d instant, Mrs Agnes Douglas, aged 97 years – believed to be the oldest inhabitant in the parish. She had the use of her faculties to the last, and died full of the hope of a glorious immortality. The evening before her death, while being visited by a Christian friend, she repeated the whole of the 118th psalm, and repeated the verses which she wished to be used in praise. She lived very retired, and was only known to the older persons in the community. At Girvan, on the 12th instant, John, aged 13 years, third son of Alexander M’Crackan, wright.
