Huntspill Energy Park Link Road. This is Gravity Project Newsletter: September 2019 Project Update Work has now commenced on the Gravity Link Road. This will connect the A39 to the new Gravity site in Puriton near J23 of the M5. To date, a 200-metre haul road from Woolavington Road to the Gravity site has been layered with stone. We have also erected stock proof fencing along the site boundary and all excavated topsoil has been excavated and stockpiled into designated locations for re-sue within the completed scheme. Some deliveries to the site are required to come through Puriton village. As promised, the majority of deliveries lorries will access site via the new haul road once complete. This will eliminate construction traffic movements in and around the village. Alun Griffiths and Gravity intend to minimise the volume of waste leaving the site. We will be recycling and reusing as much material as possible. If you would like to find out more about how we are minimising waste, please visit our website. Upcoming works The next phase of works includes using the surplus soil from the site to construct one of the embankments. This is in line with one of Griffiths key Sustainability Targets to maximise recycling, keep noise to a minimum and to keep the road out of sight. KEY PROJECT FACTS AND FIGURES IN MONTH Recycled 100% of all excavated materials Installed 2 miles of temporary boundary fencing Employed 3 local people We would be pleased to hear your comments.
