Peterson, Chancellor Professor David Naylor, President The Honourable Dalton McGuinty, Premier, Province of Ontario Proceed to the Gallery Grill Lounge of Hart House Her Excellency will sign the University of Toronto Guest Book and the Hart House Guest Book Official Photos 11:55 a.m. The Official delegation (excluding Her Excellency), Hon. Belinda Stronach, and Ms Hancock will be escorted to their reserved seats in the Great Hall Office of the President, University of Toronto 7/30/2010 10:39 AM 3 11:59 a.m. The Chancellor, the President, the Premier and Prof. Stein will escort Her Excellency Johnson Sirleaf to the Great Hall 12:00 noon (Offstage announcement: All rise for the entrance of the Principal Party) Entrance of President Johnson Sirleaf. Premier McGuinty , Chancellor Peterson, President Naylor, and Professor Stein President Naylor will escort Her Excellency to her seat on stage (there will be one seat on the stage) and then he will proceed to the podium The Chancellor, Premier McGuinty, and Professor Stein will take their seats in the front row. 12:01 p.m. President Naylor makes welcoming remarks. Introduces the Honourable Dalton McGuinty, Premier, Province of Ontario 12:03 pm. Premier McGuinty introduces Her Excellency Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, President of the Republic of Liberia and invites her to the podium 12:06 p.m. Address: “Stand with us, Canada: what gives Liberia hope” Her Excellency Ellen Johnson Sirleaf 12:35 p.m. (At the conclusion of the Address, Her Excellency may be seated for a brief pause while the moderator, Professor Stein makes remarks) Question and Answer Session (approximately 20 minutes) 12:35 p.m. Professor Janice Stein will proceed to the stage (wireless microphone) Professor Stein will thank Her Excellency for her Address. Professor Stein will explain the Question and Answer Format. (Ushers will be collecting question cards from the audience) Office of the President, University of Toronto 7/30/2010 10:39 AM 4 Professor Stein will invite her Excellency to return to the podium and pose the questions to her. Her Excellency responds. 12:55 p.m. Earlier if necessary, but no later than this time, Professor Stein will bring the Question and Answer Session to a close and invite the Chancellor to bring closing remarks 12:56 p.m. The Chancellor will proceed to the podium and thank President Johnson Sirleaf on behalf of the University of Toronto 12:58 p.m. The Chancellor will escort her Excellency off the stage. [Off Stage Announcement – Please rise and remain standing for the departure of the Principal Party and the Liberian delegation] The Chancellor and President will then escort Her Excellency upstairs to the Gallery Grill for the Luncheon.
