Central at Delaware State 2 p.m. MEAC OVERVIEW Morgan State at Florida A&M 4 p.m. • The 2019-20 MEAC men’s basketball season will see 10 of the N.C. A&T State at UMES 4 p.m. conference’s 11 institutions vying for both the regular-season and Norfolk St. at Howard 4 p.m. tournament titles (Florida A&M is ineligible for both the conference championship and postseason play). Norfolk State is the defending Monday, Jan. 13 regular-season champion, and North Carolina Central is the Coppin State at Florida A&M 7:30 p.m. defending MEAC tournament champion. N.C. Central at UMES 7:30 p.m. Morgan State at BCU 7:30 p.m. Delaware State at N.C. A&T 7:30 p.m. WEEK TEN Howard at South Carolina State 7:30 p.m. • Conference continues this weekend with five games on Saturday, January 11. WEEKLY HONORS • North Carolina Central’s Jibri Blount and Florida A&M’s Rod Melton Jr. were named MEAC Co-Players of the Week • North Carolina A&T’s Ronald Jackson was named MEAC Defensive Player of the Week. • For the third time this season, Bethune-Cookman’s Joe French GAMES LAST WEEK was named MEAC Rookie of the Week MILESTONES Tuesday, Dec. 31 • Bethune-Cookman’s Cletrell Pope scored a career high 28 points Morgan State 82, CSUN 93 against Howard as the Wildcats broke the century mark for the first Florida A&M 70, Iowa State 68 time in league play. Thursday, Jan. 2 • Howard’s CJ Williams finished with 21 points against UMES and 15 Mid-Atlantic Christian 61, N.C. A&T 123 against Bethune-Cookman. Williams has now scored 2,087 points at Howard, passing Thomas Trotter for third place in MEAC history. Saturday, Jan. 4 • UMES coach Jason Crafton earned his first career win against a Morgan State 81, Delaware State 68 D-1 school as the Hawks snapped a seven game losing streak to SC State 79, Coppin State 75 the Bison, dating back to 2016.
